I’m sorry I’m a day late to this party but, to be fair, I wanted this letter to be perfect when I give you my gift. I’ve written this about a handful of times because I can’t seem to properly articulate the essence of my feelings for you. Saying I love you is too simple. I say it all the time. Instead, I’ll confess to you.
It never occurred to me what we’d become when we first met. You were my very first friend I had since moving to Seoul and I thought that’s all it would be. But, then… we talked almost everyday and I grew to be fond of you. I found your smile enlightening, you personality to nothing short of wonderful and amazing. I was in awe. I denied myself the capability, the courage to ask you out because of what I am.
But, the more you spent time with me, I wanted you more and more despite my nature. I’m a monster but you make me feel like a man, like I’m worth love and happiness.
Apologies don’t do justice with how sorry I am to not be around as much as I should be. I fall short when it comes to my obligations but in spite of that you still love me. You welcome me home with an open heart and open arms.
I can’t promise much but I can promise to try my best to be what you deserve. I can promise to be the dad Soohyun need, but you’re more than enough for him. I promise to protect you. I promise to love you.
With these promises, I present this ring in symbol of it, signifying my words to you, my loyalty to you, my love to you and our family.
Of course, I can’t forget my little Soohyunnie~ Sorry dad is a little late in giving his gifts. One day, I’ll take you and papa to Japan with me and you’ll get to see what I see whenever I’m away. Never forget dad loves you very much and I’m always thinking about you when I’m away.
Keep dancing because I can see you being a better dancer than me! You’ll be great and I’ll support you in whatever you wish to do. Tell papa to record you dances and send them to me when I’m away so I can always see you practicing.

Aiden lowkey highkey teared up as he was reading the letter, but a smile couldn’t help but appear on his lips as he read through it. Letting the little one open his presents, and hearing the surprised shouts and squeals when seeing his new plush and clothes; while Aiden slipped the ring onto his finger, letting himself stare and adore it for a good while.
Finally snapping out of it as he remembered to to shoot his boyfriend a message about the presents. His face still beaming from happiness.
