auditory processing (probably also hard of hearing too but im hearing so idk) issues like
Them: *says a thing* Me: What? Them: *repeats* Me: I didnāt catch that Them: *repeats again* Me: Iām really sorry, one more time? Them: *repeats yet again* Me: *pretends I have a clue what they said*
Sequel:
Them: *says a thing* Me: What was that? Them: *starts to repeat a thingā* Me: *finally finishes processing their first communication attempt* Oh wait, yeah, sorry, got it. Absolutely.
Literally all the time. Like the second I give in and finally ask is when I finally get it
auditory processing disorder is very real and is a symptom of AD(H)D (probably among other things?)
Also:
Me: *doesnāt ask someone to repeat something because iām afraid of The Angry Repeat ā¢*
Huh. I guess I might not just be going deaf.
Aw man I can relate so much to this, but just with these added too:
Looking at the clock but not seeing what time it is, and therefore repeats the action 5+ times.
Tells someone something and twenty seconds later forgets I told them and tells them again.
My entire life in one post!
