Right beside you

Despite lacking the part of the brain utilized to store memories, the Xenomorph could recall what had last happened to him: faint and blurry images of a dark, wet place that had been the closest thing to a Hive for him, but then, suddenly, light bursted out of every wall, blinding his senses even if he had no visible eyes. Humans were prone to destroy, prone to control and feel powerful over being. The alien could not understand their primordial language, for it sounded like a huge mashup of grunts and snorts to him. Some of those brainless creatures had opened a crack inside the cave that had kept him and his brothers inside for years, centuries maybe- Their slumber blocked out everything that happened around them and time was not a concern of their. They didn't even have the concept of time itself. They didn't need it. After his exceptionally long inactivity, his body felt heavy and numb, as if he was too weak to carry his own weight, he dragged his arms and legs around, leaving furrows instead of prints, which in the end played in his favor: all the humans that worked in there had no idea as to what they had just freed from the cage. They lived off little animals and, from time to time they managed to catch an inattentive human or two. However, the Drone noticed something odd and interesting: many, many of their preys boarded and landed with a thing that could float on water. In his mind, his feral and yet dangerously sharp mind, a plan was swiftly appearing. That floating thing must've been filled with humans, so why not board on it as well? No one would notice his presence, hopefully. And that was what he did. Without realizing, he was brought into a secret harbor, a place no one knew off. But what did he know- All the alien cared about was that he was once again in a small and strangely cozy place, covered in metal: he was in a duct, silently observing soldiers and scientists that walked back and forth. Deciding who to attack wasn't hard, his senses could catch pheromones that advised him over a target's level of hazard: green meant easy, red meant dangerous. And the one that had just passed in front of him was to be considered highly dangerous. But that was what piqued the monster's interest. Without thinking twice, he started following the human  that gave off a sense of authority and danger: Albert Wesker.
