a soft pink flushes lúmirë's face, but a smile graces his lips. he holds his palm out to you, pulling you closer when you slip your hand into his. “if that is what you wish, my moonlight,” he murmurs, guiding your hands into position and he begins to sway with you beneath the starlit sky.

“how can I deny my dearest beloved?” voice tender and mild, he dips closer — lips brushing against yours with tender ardour.

the maia's ears perk at the sound and his head whips to your direction. a look of irritation fills his features at the prospect of being interrupted whilst he is busy with his work.

“what is it? don't you know b —” the shimmering gemstones catch his attention and he once overs the trinkets along with the letter.

it takes him a moment before his brows furrow and he clears his throat as his ears droop in the slightest. “so, it was you who has been leaving all of these. . . materials around.” mairon clears his throat, unsure of how to react as he turns back to his work. “don't expect anything in return. if anything. . . I'm amazed at how you would waste your time on something like this — let alone for me.”

he stares at you with pursed lips for a moment, eyeing the bird that oh so eagerly rubbed itself against your cheek and accepted your affection. he felt mocked, vexed even. and when he finally had enough he takes your wrist and pulls you closer. “forget about him. what about me?” eönwë huffs, giving the bird a small glare.

not looking up from her work, she continues to write with her quill. “I have many girl friends. arien being one of th — ” she stops dead in her tracks a bright pink scattering her face. “oh. . . you meant as a lover,” she looks up at you before quickly lowering her gaze again.

although a little surprised, eönwë still smiles and gently pats at your head with a gleaming countenance. “is that better, my dawn?” he presses a kiss to your forehead. “satisfied?”

“I am still mad you gave Huan to Tyelko and not me, Atya!”

chuckling, the huntsman strings his bow onto his back and crouches down to meet you. “well, tyelko has been asking for him for quite some time. don't worry little sparrow." he dries your tears and gives a gentle smile, unlike his usual indifferent and almost agitated expression. “I'll be sure to fetch you a little fawn next time. wouldn't you prefer that?”

a smile finds the herald's lips and he holds his hand out to you. “come, while the night is still young,” he says softly, lacing his fingers with yours and pulling you closer. his free hand brushes some of your hair behind your ear. “it would be my honour.”

“of course you are, after all, who else is better than me?” the maia tuts, his fingers clutching your jaw a little tighter as he continues to intricately apply the eyeliner.

“now stay still before I spit in your eye.”

the breeze stops for but a moment and the king looks at you, surprised by your forwardness as a bright pink scatters his face. he lowers his gaze for a bit, a timid smile finding his lips before he chuckles in the slightest.

“that. . . is quite a delightful dream,” he breathes, eyeing you with slithered eyes before he leans closer and strokes the underneath of your chin with a charming smile. “I must say, little dove. I wouldn't be opposed to it.”

“what do I look like to you?” seethes melkor, a displeased frown coming over his features as he makes a shooing motion with his hand. “not my problem. why don't you go ask mairon?”

his brows raise, almost as though he was a bit surprised with what you were telling him. “well, perhaps gold chains and red gems, how does that sound?” he draws nearer to you, circling around your form as though mapping out how it would look on you.

“yes, yes. I think that would do,” two hands find your waist and mairon pulls you back against him with a teasing little smirk. “and I do expect that dance, precious.”

“oh, certainly!” the vala smiles and twirls behind you. her fingers are delicate as they find your shoulders, touch gentle upon your skin. “no,” she brings her lips to your ear.

“I need you to relax. . . and focus on me alone.” her tone lowers for but a moment before her bright smile comes back and she pipes up. “okay?”

“sick? are you sure we don't have to amputate anything?” the dark lord overlooks you suspiciously, his brow arching at your offer. “if you can manage the heat of the various lava pools. . . sure,” he shrugs, only for his face to furrow.

“ginger tea! do I look like yavanna to you?”

he's reprimanded by an intentional cough from the side and turns to notice his lieutenant who seems unimpressed by his comment. “I will take the tea. do not listen to him.”

“I have had better days, admittedly,” he breathed a laugh, bringing a hand to gently rub at his temples. however, he halts at your offer and turns to you with surprise. blinking once or twice, a gentle smile soon finds his lips and he nods.

“my darling dove, I would like nothing more,” manwë murmurs, taking a seat beside you and slowly removing his crown. “which would be easier? my head in your lap?”

manwë does not know whether to laugh or cry.
