Back when I was reading HP books as teenager, I thought all wizards and witches were supposed to be eccentric and incomprehensible, but majority of character felt like just slightly above average people, with some episodic exceptions. In a way, only Dumbledore and Luna (esp. her movie version seen later) appeared to be proper magic people to me. (Out of their mind even by standards of wizarding community?)

This scene from Order of the Phoenix is fairly impactful and profound in the book, …and funny in the movie! I couldn’t restrict the smile watching it first time in cinema (and coming again only to see Luna on screen), while everybody else were giggling profusely (at the scene, not at me).
