"Between having two work places, a kid and parties in town, I am indeed exhausted like you pointed out." Alexa said as she watched over the party, the masked people coming in as she leaned over the bar counter.

"Two work places? When the fuck did that happen?" He raised a brow at her. "Have you been liking Italy though? I mean, it's gotta be better than being in Red Edge, right?"

Ivy relaxed as the man rowed the boat while her friend and her sat and watched the scenery. Ivy pulled out her book smiling, before looking over to speak to her friend. " This is beautiful. I mean very romantic in a way, but I just enjoy the peace and good scenery. Thank you for coming though," she said as she opened her book. @rededgerpstarterblog

Aiden looked at Ivy and chuckled. "It is romantic, but I'm glad we're doing this. Not for the romantic part, but because it's just nice to get out and explore."

Kat smiled. "Thank you, Aiden." She said. "I'm doing really good. I can't really complain, how about you?"

"I'm in Italy and don't have to worry about a damn thing, I am fucking great." Aiden laughed. "Are you enjoying your time here?"

Emersyn smiled in agreement. “See, you get it. Boundaries are a beautiful thing.” She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, then her expression softened at his confession.

"I have no clue what I'm hoping for." He admitted with a laugh and looked at her. "I want her to feel the same, but I know that it's been a while since we dated, so I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't."

"Sometimes I wish I was in a steady relationship, but then I go on dates where this woman was a million times worse than Brian Griffin from Family Guy and suddenly I'm grateful that I'm single." @rededgerpstarterblog

"Oh that sounds truly fucking awful, Tyler. I'm sorry that happened to you." Aiden looked at Tyler. "Maybe you should stay off of Tinder and the dating apps in general?"

Emersyn smiled at that, eyes softening as she followed the line of the water. “Yeah. It feels like a pause button, even if it’s just for a little while.” She glanced back at him and shrugged lightly. “Nothing big. Probably dinner, a quiet night, maybe convincing myself not to answer work texts. What about you?”

"I'm a huge believer that once you're off the clock and not getting paid, you shouldn't answer work texts." Aiden said with a laugh. "Uh, I'm honestly working up the courage to tell Jasmine that I still have feelings for her."

Emersyn smiled and nodded toward the water. “Same. Lunch break escape.” She let the quiet sit for a second before adding, “The beach is the only place that makes fifteen minutes feel like an hour.”

"That's because there's just something magical and alluring about the beach that makes you feel like you've escaped reality." Aiden looked at her. "As you should, do you have any big plans for after work?"

Emersyn glanced over at him with a small smile, shifting slightly to give him space. “It is. You get to observe without having to explain yourself.” She looked back out toward the pier for a moment.

"I like to watch the tourists, but they are kind of...sparse right now." Aiden chuckled. "So now I'm just here for the quiet, how about you?"

"Thank you so much for coming over to hangout!" Kat said with a smile. "I seriously needed this, but I am so burnt out from work that I did no feel like leaving my place today." @rededgerpstarterblog

"Kat, breathe, I promise you that I have no issue coming here just to see you." Aiden promised her with a smile. "How are you doing?"

Emersyn claimed a seat near the edge of the pier, lunch balanced on her knee, sunglasses pushed up into her hair. The ocean breeze did most of the work of slowing her down, salt and noise blurring the line between break and escape.

"People watching, mainly." Aiden shrugged and sat down next to her. "Then again, there's something oddly peaceful about people watching."
