Out of curiosity, do you plan to one day keep Kaigaku around in a Kokushin story? I am so curious because his similarities to Kokushibo yet more impulsive and other differences is so interesting for (definitely disastrous at first) interactions among the others. Especially the hole in his box of happiness and need for recognition bit.
Plus the idea of him and Shinjuro glaring more than Shinjuro does with Kokushibo at first (maybe more than even Akaza) is so funny to me.
tbh i hadnt considered it but now im just picturing shin holding kaigaku up by the scruff of his neck like a misbehaving cat and i am deeply entertained akdbksbd.
in all seriousness u do bring up a good point, i definitely think shinjuro would spot kaigakus need for recognition from a mile away and i think hed understand that kaigakus "hole in his box" is born from something deep inside him that needs to be addressed, especially if its after shins cleaned up his act and had to do so himself too. i do wonder how kaigaku would feel about shinjurou tho.... much to consider
