Okayy thank goodness I saw this post addressing the tagging problem!! From this point on I'll be using only specific crossover tags for bloodymary posts (#bloodymary #ironmary and #iron lung x project hail mary as well as other ship or crossover-specific ones) instead of the main tags (#Iron Lung and #Project Hail Mary #PHM) to avoid clashing with those who would just rather post about the movies themselves. People who reblog and tag bloodymary posts with the main tags apparently won't have this problem? — original-posters have to be more mindful of tags since clustering the crossover tag with the main ones will appear in the dashes of people who only want to look for either Iron Lung or PHM-specific posts.
As the post says, Tumblr still has thing to fix since blocking a tag will still kind of appear if clustered with a separate tag you were looking for. For instance, blocking #bloodymary won't matter much if you're gonna search for #Iron Lung and get a blocked post saying "this contains a blocked tag". I wish Tumblr would do something about that. Like if a tag is blocked, don't show the post at all, yk? But anyway, this is the least we can do to make things easier for everyone to curate their fandom experience, which is incredibly important to me as well.
I've also gone ahead and edited my tags for the recent bloodymary posts, but I'm encouraging all of you to do the same when posting crossover stuff! Bloodymary has gotten so big in a short amount of time that this became a problem lol let's try not to make it an inconvenience!!
