Turns out, Valerie was rather easy to please and since she agreed to get the cocoa and snacks with him, he led her to the corner store that was on their way home. Well, home as in, the shoddy apartment he tended to just hide from the rest of the world in. “What kinda movie, though?” he questions curiously, lowering his umbrella as they go inside the store, wet boots carrying in water across tile. Despite his rippling physique, he does have a bit of a sweet tooth, but he’ll probably cook later to make up for rotting his teeth tonight on junk food. He does like to cook more often than not when Valerie comes over, mostly because it was rare that he genuinely got to take care of someone. “I just got Netflix, but I don’t watch any of that shit,” he snickers. So, he’s not the greatest with modern day technology. Weapons? Yes. But Netflix was a whole other beast he’s yet to explore. 

After they’ve purchased a sufficient amount of hot chocolate powder and teeth-rotting goodies, Bucky walks with her to his place, shuffling into the apartment with a shake of his wet hair. He drops the umbrella and grocery bags, also beginning to shed the coat that’d served him well in combating the high winds. His apartment isn’t anything impressive; he just likes it lowkey, anything that keeps him out of public speculation. “How’re your clothes? You can borrow somethin’ of mine to get dry,” he shrugs. He doesn’t have any pants that would fit her, obviously, but a dry hoodie might help.

the  pussycat  followed  along  with  bucky,  just  enjoying  the  moment,  the  time  with  him;  his  MERE  presence.  ❝  maybe  a  ROMANTIC  comedy?  ❞  she  says  jokingly,  her  PAINTED  red  lips  curling  up  into  a  smirk.  ❝  we  can  always  watch  a  HORROR  movie,  if  you  want,  but  you  know  i’m  a  big  chicken  when  it  comes  to  those.  ❞  valerie  nudges  him  playfully,  despite  her  statement  being  COMPLETELY  true.  she  loved  the  thrill,  but  all  the  scary  stuff  made  her  sleep  with  one  eye  open.  ❝  there  are  some  GOOD  ones  on  netflix,  i’m  sure  we’ll  find  something.  ❞  says  val  with  reassurance.

val  scanned  the  aisles  of  food  with  bucky,  grabbing  some  of  her  FAVORITE  snack  items  along  the  way.  once  they  were  finished,  she  quietly  accompanied  him  BACK  to  his  apartment.  ❝  i  got  a  little  wet.  ❞  she  confesses,  shrugging  off  her  STYLISH  leather  jacket.  ❝  i  wouldn’t  mind  having  a  hoodie  of  yours,  it  would  add  some  more  warmth  to  this  COMFORTABLE  rainy  day.  ❞  she  begins  to  unpack  groceries,  a  warm  smile  lighting  up  her  face.

He hoists the vast umbrella over both their heads, steadily walking along and trying not to leave her behind due to his long strides. The constant downpour brings with it icy breezes that might’ve affected any other man; but Bucky is built for harsh climates, not even the violent winds and thunderstorms could phase him. Honestly, there’s something relaxing in the way the rain pounds the Earth and drowns out the noises of their surroundings. Sending others towards the comfort of their homes, and leaving him to wander in his thoughts. He cocks his head to peer at Valerie, lips tugging into an incredibly faint smile, as it’s still rare for him to display such a thing. “It’s nice, I think,” he admits rather fondly, his thick leather booths stepping briskly into the puddles before them, “You don’t look too happy. Wanna get some hot chocolate or coffee? What would please you, Val?”

valeries  doesn’t  MIND  the  rain  that  much,  just  the  HUMIDITY  that  affects  her  hair  &.  the  COLD,  uncomfortable  dampness  that  soaked  her  clothes.  luckily  for  herself,  bucky  was  holding  an  UMBRELLA  over  her  head  so  she  was  avoiding  the  freezing  rain,  but  soon  the  HUMIDITY  would  catch  up  with  her.  her  short  legs  were  STRUGGLING  to  keep  up  with  bucky’s,  but  she  was  moving  quickly,  trying  to  AVOID  the  puddles  that  bucky  seemed  so  happy  to  walk  into.  she  would  much  rather  prefer  to  spend  her  rainy  days  READING  a  nice  mystery  novel  by  a  FIRE  with  some  warm  cocoa.  however,  just  the  fact  alone  that  she  was  spending  this  day  with  bucky  made  it  okay.  ❝  it  IS  kinda  nice,  i’ve  always  liked  the  rain.  maybe  we  could  get  some  cocoa  and  sweets  and  WATCH  a  movie  or  something.  ❞  she  suggests,  small  shoulders  ROLLING  into  a  shrug.

the new kid. that was one label dally never wore. even with his stints, he was in the system at such an early age, it was remiss to call him new to prison. it was the last straw for his old school, so here he was in riverdale. though, he didn’t see much good in a life-long jailbird earning a diploma. ‘ well, look at you. if you’re any indication of what’s on the menu, I don’t even know where to start. any specials? ’ those eyes were stunning, enough to memorize any jerk with a smile. dally was taken by the attitude she exuded. it hit him like a ton of bricks, calling forth an easy smirk. ‘ you can say I’m getting comfortable. ’

valerie’s  CHEEKS  ignited  in  a  rosy  red  blush;  she  had  been  WARNED  of  the  flirtatious  advances  customers  could  try  and  PULL  over  her,  but  with  one  this  handsome,  she  DIDN’T  very  much  care  if  it  was  deception  or  not.  she  chuckled  softly.  she  wishes  DESPERATELY  her  hair  wasn’t  BRAIDED  down  due  to  sanitary  regulations  so  she  could  play  with  it  to  distract  herself.
