rereading lord of shadows via audiobook while i Task and like. we genuinely do not give kieran enough credit for how well he was handling his arc for that book. you are kieran of the hunt and they’re saying you murdered a man and you believe it, but you don’t remember. are you being framed. did you actually do it. it doesn’t matter because your father wants you dead and your brothers, even your favorite brother, will watch it happen. there is only one person you love in the world and you believe he will come for you right up until the end. when he does you take an arrow for him. for some reason he is strange with you. he says the two of you need space, that you need to decide who you are to each other out of the context of the hunt. you agree because you love him and you trust that he loves you and that you will choose each other again. the city and institute bristles with iron that makes you feel sick and his family doesn’t like you and you don’t know why but you try to help the best you can. then the truth comes out, your memories return. you are hit with the full force of your own jealousy and desperation and guilt and heartbreak. you realize why his family doesn’t like you. you realize he doesn’t like you, not anymore. you were rescued from death but maybe it would have been better to die thinking mark blackthorn still loved you. still you promise to help, because faeries keep their promises and pay their debts. you tell him “we will be done with each other” because that is the kindest thing you can think of even though you don’t know what will happen to you after that. and thats not eeeeven getting into the cristina rosales of it all. my god

saw Hozier at Reading festival yesterday and he did about a five min speech focused mostly on Palestine, called out the fact that the UK government’s legislation on Palestine Action is insane….. and I just looked at BBC iPlayer and they broadcast every major set except his. which was literally the one that closed the night. like idk the censorship of pro Palestine sentiments in this country is insane

and fwiw the cheering for his statement was so loud, I know a festival crowd was always gonna steer young but institutions like the BBC behaving like pro Palestine sentiments aren’t widely echoed by the public is a joke
