long time no see so here is a poem i wrote as a reminder that although often emotions feel like they might take over us, there is always another day

-a reminder a friend told me - feelings come in peaks and valleys

this night

you will get through this night,

the star speckled sky

guiding you

breathe these tiny fires,

holding your hand

this night will pass

heavy vines,

smother your soul

your eyes will see light again

constellations on your skin,

your mind,

an explosion deep within

a lonely star,

guided by the moon

speckled truths

in starlight

cosmos

inside your hands

glow

the blurry skyline

fades

inevitably impossible fantasies

to spend it with you,

moonstruck.

how sensational.

I don’t know if anyone still looks at my blog but I haven’t posted on here in a LONG time so I wanted to come on here and say hello again. 

I have some poetry I would love to share with everyone but I think I will save that for a post of its own. 

But first...

Some updates-

What a hectic year we have had eh? SOOO much has changed and so much is still changing but whats important is that I am still here and you, whoever you are reading this, you’re still here and that counts for something even if it might not feel like it right now. 

I hope you have allowed yourself to feel recently, and by that I mean not getting mad at yourself for having feelings because we cannot control the way our minds work. Your feelings are VALID, whatever they may be, feel them with all your being. 

I am going away for a semester abroad soon so I have been feeling a massive mixture of everything recently and that is okay. I keep telling myself everything is okay, take it as it comes because with this crazy pandemic I have learnt not to let so much get to me, life is way too short and unpredictable.

Anyways, I digress, my next post will be some poetry (I promise).
