For fucks sake. Guys, going nonverbal doesn't always just mean you can't speak. A lot of times its your mind completely shutting down. He isn't just in a state where he can't physically bring himself to speak he's in a state where he literally can't form words in his head either. Texting isn't always nonverbal, it has to do with words and if someone's disability disables them from forming thoughts texting isn't going to magically fix that. Some people just completely shut down.

The worst part is that most of the "they embarrass us and make us all look bad" was coming from other autistic, non/semi verbal people. Okay congratulations you don't have to suffer with such extreme shut downs. You're a fucking prick.

I can not stand other disabled people who are so god damn ignorant that they end up completely fucking ableist themselves. I thought we were better than this.
