a small list of techniques that personally help me during times !!

── .✦ STOP method
Stop what you're doing, Take a step back from whatever has you triggered, Observe everything and recognize your thoughts and feelings is the split talking, Proceed mindfully
── .✦ TIPP (tip your temperature)
put cold water on your face, hold a frozen ice pack against your face/back of your neck, or hold an ice cube in your hand until it melts
── .✦ using "both and"
instead of saying "they hate me and want me dead" for not responding say "they're probably busy and I'm feeling hurt right now"
── .✦ touching something
petting an animal, massaging your scalp, touching a rock, feeling flowing water, fidget with a toy, anything to help yourself feel real and in control
── .✦ eat/drink something warm/cold
drink tea or a soft coffee, eat a Popsicle, drink ice cold water, suck on a lemon or sour candy
── .✦ sensation counting
press your fingertips together tightly, count each finger and focus on the pressure on your skin with each number
obviously these won't help everybody but each of these of helped me at least once so I thought I'd share, from a niche snail <3
i hate having BPD. i can’t stand going from hating myself and everyone around me so passionately, to thinking life is beautiful and everything is worth it. it bounces between one or the other all day. it’s exhausting. i’m exhausted. i just want to be happy.
I hate that as a person with bpd, my triggers are being treated like a bad person and criticism. Like that makes me look so fucking shitty. Yeah I'll split on you if you try and get me to change too much. I'll split on you if you criticize me. I'll wonder if its worth it to be around you if you don't treat me like a good person. But I don't ever feel that way about myself. I'm the only person who's allowed to be mad at me.
BPD fucking sucks.
