As spring and summer roll in, so do the ridiculous anxieties surrounding my body hair.

It’s been 4 years since I decided shaving my legs, pits, and bits just wasn’t for me.

4 years. 3 beautiful summers with my leg hair dancing in the breeze (lemme tell ya—it feels like lil bugs crawling on you 😅).

You’d think heading into summer number four, I wouldn’t feel so uneasy about gracing the world with my hairiness… but here we are.

And as it turns out, it takes time to rewire 27 years of conditioning that taught me my body hair was something to remove—something unclean, something “un-feminine.”

I’ve heard it takes about twice as long to undo what you were taught… so I guess we’re still in progress over here.
