ah, no, it’s a fire sign. But logic dictates that if you’re a fire sign, you’re by definition hot. Right? RIGHT?!

Polly is the character based in the most people I know, since Spain is the party pit of Europe. So I know many Polly people, including myself. Here clubs close at 6am and if you want to after-party, then it can go on all the next day. It’s wild and beautiful. Also we’re Mediterranean people. Ambition is a low-priority attribute. The important thing is to chill and enjoy life and take things easy. As I always say: if there are 2 words people know in Spanish, it’s “FIESTA” and “SIESTA”.

But even if I know lots of Polly people, there are 2 beautiful people that have inspired Polly the most, no doubt. And it happens that they were born on the fucking same day, so there was no discussion on what was going to be Polly’s birthday.

Moko is uniquely Māori and it is strictly reserved to be done by Māori, for Māori. If either the recipient or tattooer do not have Māori whakapapa, then the resulting design is a Māori Style tattoo or kirituhi, NOT moko. The word moko originated from the Māori atua (god) of volcanic activity and earthquakes, Rūaumoko – therefore the origin of tā moko is divine and sacred – to me this is no small thing, nor should it be dismissed.

As my mentor once told me, ‘moko is about 99% culture, and 1% tattoo’.

Anyway, thanks guys for making those. We know how difficult it must be to get everyone together to make those, especially given with how much of a workload some of them (*COUGH @thatonevideojirard COUGH*) actually have on their plate already.

Jesse Cox (Producer): One of the first conversations we had when I was brought as Producer was how I noticed that games that REALLY took off were games that loved, embraced, and promoted all the fanart that it spawned. I was really inspired by the way people fell in love with the characters in overwatch and was convinced that if we could make our characters more than just… characters, like - monster people would actually love - then we’d inspire all sorts of fan art. And I couldn’t be happier with the amazing OCs, fan fics, ships, and lewds that spawned from your minds.

Cory O’Brien (writer): I’m flattered to see people so invested in the world I’ve helped create. When Maggie first told me that people were doing art and cosplay and fanfic and whatnot, I basically didn’t believe it. I was like “we’ve just been doing dumb gags in a spreadsheet for a couple years, who’s going to write fanfic of that?” But the fan community has really brought a lot to the game, and made it more than I ever imagined it could be. I’m tickled, amazed, and ever so grateful.

Arthur Tien (lead artist): I LOVE AND APPRECIATE ALL OF IT SO MUCH. Drawing fanart of my favorite games is my preferred way of expressing my appreciation for them. To think that others might feel the same of my work is incredible to me.

Julián Quijano (Creative Director): It gives me f*ckin’ life. Please never stop. Our fandom is precious and we’re forever grateful. 

Also, we actually check fan creations as a way to scout new talent for the devteam! Viper and Doktor, our 2 new artists, were found this way!
