📋 BLACKWELL COMMUNITY RULES & GUIDELINES

BLACKWELL PRECINCT — HOW IT RUNS ?
BWPD is one of the city's most respected institutions!! here's how it's structured so you know where you'd fit in, if you'd like to work here:
Chief — heads the entire precinct. oversees everything and everyone.
Lieutenant Wade Calloway — heads the detective division specifically. If you're a detective, you answer to him. he keeps things running sharp and tight!!
Sergeant(s) — supervise the patrol officers. they operate parallel to Wade, not under him. both branches answer up to the Chief.
Senior Detectives (Kai Whitlock & Kir Sokolov) — operate under Wade. highly skilled, highly trusted. You think you have what it takes to work with them ?
Junior Detectives — under the senior detectives! They take on easier tasks and assist them.
Patrol Officers / Police Officers — reports to their Sergeants. a whole separate lane from the detective division!!
> detectives and officers are on different levels — professionally and socially. don't expect Kir to strike up a conversation with just anyone. and don't be fooled by Kai's warmth,,,he knows everyone, remembers everything, and uses it well. . .
this universe and its content is 18+ !!
this includes dark themes, psychological horror, and mature romance. if you are a minor, please refrain from interacting!!
you have full creative freedom when it comes to your creations! humans, hybrids, anything goes — Blackwell welcomes all kinds!!
3. RESPECT OTHER PEOPLE'S ROUTES
Since this is a game like universe. If your oc is a romance option, please make sure your route doesn’t affect other people’s ocs or the main cast. (Eg: NO killing / harming)
Please do NOT crash your oc into someone else's story or route without their permission! if you both want to interact and have talked it through? Go for it!! but don't bulldoze into someone else's narrative uninvited. :((
4. YOU HAVE FULL CONTROL OVER YOUR ROUTE
That being said, your route is yours to control! Just keep Rule 2 + 7 in mind! If your dateable oc has powers or just any supernatural abilities? SURE! :D Just be sure to keep those in your route and not bleed into other stories or the main cast town!
5. KAI WHITLOCK IS NOT YOURS TO TAKE DOWN ⚠️ (As much as I would love to see that happen too,,)
Kai is the main romance route of Blackwell. He is careful, calculated, and leaves no trace!! Physically AND digitally. His record is spotless, his reputation immaculate, and his tracks are always covered. No oc, regardless of their abilities or skillset, can successfully expose or capture him. please respect this!! it's core to the entire story!
6. KAI IS THE NARRATOR. HE RUNS THIS. (Sadly)
Kai narrates and subtly controls (his) MC's actions to keep them close. Unless your oc is ALSO a narrator-type and we've discussed it (then go ahead! Rule 2 applies here too though!)— you cannot override him. he has the wheel :(
7. THE POLICE DEPARTMENT IS NO JOKE
Blackwell PD is sharp, experienced, and good at what they do. if your oc is operating on the wrong side of the law….tread carefully!! you will not be let off easy!
8. ROMANCE ROUTES & GENDER OPTIONS
if your oc is a dateable character, you get to decide their preferences!
Example: if your oc is into girls and MC picks the girl route — romance unlocked 💕 if MC picks male — maybe the most they can achieve is good friends! it's your call, just be clear about it , if you'd like to add this little fact in.
this goes especially for dateable ocs — do not interfere with another character's route to boost your own. your story shouldn't rely on ruining someone else's. build your route UP, not over someone else's :((
Do NOT insert yourself into another person's storyline without a proper discussion and mutual agreement first. collaboration is great — but only when everyone's on board!!
10. ROUTES ARE THEIR OWN UNIVERSE!!
Think of each route as its own parallel timeline! So, if your oc has a history with one of the main characters — a friendship, a rivalry, a past moment — that's completely valid for YOUR route!!
But it should not carry over or become canon for everyone else's. Someone else can have their own completely different history with that same character and both can coexist peacefully!! what happens in your route stays in your route! :]] no one's story overrides another's!! This is to make sure the main canon story still goes along while also having connections with your creations <3
MC has no fixed appearance! They appear however you want them to look. MC can even be you!
Blackwell is a tight-knit city full of warm, loveable people. we want this community to reflect that!! play nice or Wade will have to personally escort you out :,)
