Getting your startup idea rolling can be a tough job. Over the last 6 months, beyond learning the in’s and out’s of adtech, marketing, and fundraising, we also learned that every small business needs a toolbox for efficiency — especially when growing rapidly.
Here are 13 FREE or very affordable, and easy-to-use tools we use to get started, take action - and keep ourselves sane.
Buffer - Buffer makes it super easy to share any page you’re reading. You can keep your Buffer topped up and it automatically shares posts for you through the day.
Crowdfire - A very efficient way to manage your Twitter.
Sublime 2 - Sublime Text is a sophisticated text editor for code, markup and prose. The Slick user interface, extraordinary features and amazing performance.
Tumblr - Tumblr helps us create quick posts on this blog of ours.
Workflowy - Entrepreneurs tend to be highly creative and, even when focused on a core business, they tend to have lots of ideas and tasks in their minds! It is like exporting your brain to a highly scalable, well-structured app.
Trello - Trello's visual layout makes your projects very easy to manage.
Hemmingwayapp - Copy paste your text and this app will tell you the ways to improvise. The color code interface makes it very easy to edit the text. The app also gives a ‘readability grade’ to your work.
Pipedrive - Sales pipeline software that gets you organized. Helps you focus on the right deals, so easy to use that we just love it. Great for small teams.
Slack - Slack is an excellent online communication tool, rich with settings and options. Integrations make its functionality beyond any other tool for communication within our teams.
Streak - Streak is great CRM. It can be used for sales, hiring candidates, handling email support, organizing deal flow and fundraising.
Hangout - Hangout is a lifesaver.
Rapportive - A quick and efficient and doesn’t seem to slow Gmail down. Rapportive shows you everything about your contacts right inside your inbox.
Sidekick - Make the most out of your emails by tracking by getting to know how, when and where your email was opened.
This is a small list of the enormous available tools. Do share in comments what you use to increase productivity at work. :)

[Release] New UI, Multilple Analytics Platform, Email Alerts and, more!
Hi there,
We have been working really hard since our last product update and wanted to bring to your attention a bunch of features that we have launched. The launches would not have been possible without your critical feedback and we want to shout out loud and say "Thank you for your valuable feedback and appreciate your patience!".
Without any further delay, here are the launches:
New UI: Improved new UI and introduction of left bar navigation.
Multiple analytics platform: We now support Facebook Conversions and Comscore Digital Analytics, in addition to Google Analytics.
Email alerts: You can now create rules where the action is to send emails to specific recipients. This serves a good way to test a rule and also enables you to configure alerts to your taste.
Weekly performance updates: You will be receiving weekly emails on the performance of your account for the week and how it compares with the previous week.
User preferences: We launched a new section in settings so that you can configure your weekly email preferences and also your default analytics platform.
Ad Creation:
Multi-product ads and Promote Existing Posts (Album Ads) support
Geo-targeting support
Custom bids during ad creation
Create new ads within adset from AdSet page directly
Improved creation workflow with lot more validations and stability fixes
Consistent Tabular view on all pages including Summary page, individual Campaign and AdSet pages. You can now choose whichever metrics you want to see in the tables on every page.
Facebook Account switch: Using the left nav bar, you can select if you want to see data from all Facebook accounts or a specific account.
Once again a big thanks to you all for your support and reading this far! As always, your honest feedback is very much appreciated.
Best, Team AdWyze
[Release] Custom Tagging, Integrations and a bunch of other updates
Over the last 5 months we have been building a product that can truly liberate marketers from Excel. As we add additional features we want to ensure that our customers are up to date with our platform’s capabilities and are getting the most of our platform. With our weekly update we hope to bring you up to speed with the additional features and also share use cases.
Feature Additions:
Faster and Easier Campaign Creation: We have revamped our campaign creation workflow and made it really easy for you to create 100’s of campaigns/ad-sets in no time at all. e.g. pick a bunch of images you want to promote and quickly apply the same title and body copy to all of them. One of our customers created more than 800 adsets in 2 minutes!
Filters: Do you have 100’s of campaigns live and quickly want to focus on the ones that need your attention? Welcome to Filters! You can now add up to 4 conditions to filter adsets and campaigns that fit your criteria e.g. you can now select Campaigns with spend >= 5000 + ROI=0 and you will immediately get a filtered view of your campaigns that qualify these conditions.
Custom Tagging: Our war on Excel is well and truly on with our new custom tags. Our tagging system allows our advertisers to get actionable insights they need in just a couple of clicks. You can now group your campaigns the way you like e.g. by categories like Footwear, T-Shirts, and other parameters like brands e.g Nike, Adidas.
You can now compare the spents and returns on Nike vs Adidas in Footwear or Apparel in a couple of clicks and also get insights on the audience and age-groups which performed the best for these categories.
Rules Engine: Never lose money on a campaign that is bleeding money! Create any no. of rules on our platform and our system will automatically take actions e.g. If your ROAS for any campaign, ad-set or ad crosses a pre-set threshold our system can automatically pause the ad. You can also use rules which can increase bids and budget for your best performers. We also support Mobile App Installs and now you can run OCPM and CPC campaigns with the same control on cost as CPI campaigns. Scaling Facebook campaigns just got a lot easier!
Integrations: Appsflyer: We are now fully integrated with appsflyer, to give you complete insight into post install activities of your mobile app installs and you can use our rules engine to optimize for any metric you need like post install revenue, ARPU, loyal customers etc.
We are very proud of what we built so far and couldn’t have done it without your active support and feedback. We have been rapidly expanding our team to add features and support the increased customer base. We are truly thankful for your support.
Best, Team AdWyze

He constantly endeavours to bring the cool factor to full blown geekiness but there is a long road to go on that path!
