You look at your bloodied hands, as you wipe sweat from your brow, and still consider yourself weak - but forgetting the wars you have fought, the demons you have defeated. You compare your body to another, idolising it - but not considering they too have their own insecurities. And if you can idolize their insecurities - why not idolize your own. I have watch hundreds of sunrises, countless sunsets and I have never thought they could be more perfect. There has never been a single one that looks the same, never a shade in the same place, never a cloud wandering in the same space but somehow I thought I had learnt all I could from them - until I sat and watched the sun go down with you. I lay with my thoughts, looking up at the full moon tangled in its nest of darkness. I kept thinking, "do your thoughts overwhelm you too" obviously, no reply. Except, one, two, diamonds revealed themselves in the nest - perfectly imperfect, glowing to answer the questions that burned as they themselves did. "It is easy to be overwhelmed, but look around. Around you is darkness, but you are a light. Throw a thought into the darkness and watch it burn". I wish I could tell you of the times my chest was burning with fear, of the times I pushed you away because I know my dreams don't often lie.

I woke up next to you, with your green eyes peering into my shaking soul, your delicate hands tracing over my shy skin, your heart racing against my own wound up chest. I woke up with your voice kissing my chilled forehead from the storm of the night before, I woke up to you pulling me close - pulling me out of my nightmares and back home. You were there, you were real, I could feel you under my own trembling hands, your warmth surrounded me and I remembered: I was okay now. I woke up like this several months ago, when with the sound of Jafar granting wishes faded into my own wish coming true, a wish I didn't even know I held. I woke up like this, this morning. To the boy I called rain. You probably won't read this, you probably haven't read anything with my name attached since the ending of our short romance. I tried to remind you of a lot in the short time that we breathed the same air. I wanted you to think of the moon and the sun when you thought of me. And I insisted on calling you rain. Rain that comes after a long drought, forcing you to believe that things will be okay, that flowers may decorate empty fields once more. Rain that taps in a rhythm to make you fall asleep peacefully to its beautiful song, that comforts your soul and cools the warm ground that had been scorching your feet. Rain that makes you stop running, that runs down your delicate skin and reminds you to feel again. I wanted you to remember the sun and the moon, without my name attached, to write your own story of their love. I insist on remembering you in the rain, because you were needed, you were valued, but you never could have stayed.

When asked where she went when she looked into the distance, she could simply smile and say "I'm right here" without letting them know the truth.
