what is it with chapter 5, that makes a lot more people annoyed with "characters not being very rational" suddenly? "UUUUGH this character acted in a very irrational way i can't take it, this makes this story so annoying" yeah congrats that's the point. They don't act like perfect robots. That was the case since chapter 1. "Aaaah Catti is such a weirdo what is wrong with her, i am so annoyed that she can't deal with her feelings in a normal way-" yes that's the point. Catti is not dealing with her very probable one way crush on noelle very well. That's the fucking point. "Why did Susie act so irrational" oh i don't know, why didn't the ex bully teenager with no stable adult figure in her life and who is dealing with complicated feelings act in the most rational way ? Who knows...... Also how did we get from "omg kris is so going to be in trouble with their friend later since they hide a lot from them" to "damn Susie thought a lot about Noelle this chapter, poor Kris, left alone in the mud, betrayed by all of their friends" as if Susie didn't also hang out with them. I thought we liked Susie as her own character, not just as "Kris's bff and potential shipping ground"? Also I don't see why Susie's new crush moment is somehow worse than Kris acting in the shadows behind their friends and endangering people.
Also i guess i don't understand genuine Flowery hate because.... did people....thought that the game was trying to force us to like him? "Flowery was so forced, this is just a gary tsu but he is actually a jerk! Why does the game want me to lick his boots-" The game doesn't want you to insta love Flowery. His whole deal is that he is a parody of a nice perfect guy. He is supposed to be unnerving. He is also supposed to be mean to challenge our views. And he is being mean to make characters react to that. That's the point. "He feels forced" yeah that's exactly the point, he is a fake nice guy gary tsu, he even has maximum stats ! Which turn out to be fake. Because that's the point. Tbh, i don't understand genuine hate for a character at all because you need A LOT to make me feel genuine hatred for someone that's doesn't even exist. I can dislike how a story goes but how can i hate a cog for doing it's job?
I mean...people are allowed to dislike charcters i just don't understand the genuine anger or blame when a character is in fact flawed like. Why would you hate a character being flawed. Well to each their own but i like salt in my food
