       My name is Ella. Mum & Dad got me from the Rescue shelter at Sippy Downs in Queensland. Not long after they adopted me, it became very apparent that I was a very sick little dog. Perhaps this is why they totally refused to give mum & dad any of my history ... I had kidney disease/failure and glaucoma. After many hospital stays, medications, special renal diet and lots of love, I have pulled through and thankfully in some type of remittion. But then the problems with my eyes became very frequent and severe. The pressure from Glaucoma behind my eyes would not go down and I had lots of hospital and specialist appointments and treatments. Finally my boyfriend (Vet Uncle Randall) surgically removed my eyes. I am learning to live as a blind dog. It has it's challenges.. like when you fall in the pool because you forgot it was there .. (Dad put another fence up so I don't do that again!) With no eyes, I have learnt where all the furniture is and mum said that if I am naughty, she will move it around as punishment ... I know she is only joking (I hope!) I still look you in the face when you talk to me and I still love to sit at the front window and watch the people and cars going past. My head still moves in time with any cars going past. When I am tired or just woken up, I will often bump into walls and cupboards ... Mum & Dad call me 'Bump & Go', my boyfriend Uncle Randall still calls me "His Little China Doll" and the Groomers call me " No Eye Dear (No Idea)" I dont mind cos they all give me lots and lots of snuggles and cuddles and treats.. and I in return give so much love and much much licks !   Â
