In the upper floors of the Deep Docks, another husk waits. The monument below her has been broken long before I arrived.
To bind her was to bind the skill of Swift Step, or in simple terms, the ability to dash. This skill will be invaluable on the road ahead, and I can already think of places to return to and gain further access.
Information ought to be preserved, so I shall write down what I have learned. This weavers name was Cindril, and she was a coward. She lacked the ability to face things head on and encouraged her sisters to run from this place. I shall not waste her gift as she did.
Shardillard
A durable bug with a thick outer shell. They prefer to avoid conflict, instead pretending to be one of the many fossils that line these caverns. I myself have fallen prey to this technique. Truly a worthy foe.
Hardbone Hopper
Now that I can traverse the hot coals of this area, I find myself in contention with these lanky creatures. In their day, they must have been rather flighty herd animals, but now they simply hop across coals. They are very sturdy creatures, but the ones I have seen look quite young. Have the elders all been wiped out by this silken curse?
Magma Bell
A kind of warding bell that eases the heat of this place. Similarly, the lavalug's heat is reduced. It still damages oneself, but will no longer deplete a third of one's strength.
Forge Daughter and Ballow
A proud smith of the Deep Docks. She is from a line called the Forge Daughters. I see no difference between her skills and that of a smith's, but she was adamant that there was one. She will most likely be invaluable as time goes on, so I dropped the matter.
As for Ballow... I would hesitate to give him the time of day where it not for his aura. He will be important. I can feel it in the air.

Smokerock Sifter
A worker of the Deep Docks, ordered to sift for more precious material. The cymbals they weld seem barely suited to the task. Unfortunately, they make rather good weapons.
Far into the Deep Docks, I was ambushed by a group of workers.
They posed little threat. The worst thing about this encounter was the bell, as it would. not. stop. RINGING. I destroyed it as soon as I was able.
Lavalug
A slug-like creature that crawls along any surface. It can spew a lava-like substance from itself. It's heat is certainly comparable, and they quickly fill in territories left when one dies. I cannot fathom why they have not been exterminated from this place.
Flintstone Flyer
A courier of flintstone. Alas, they must struggle to produce any if their first instinct is always to throw it at passersby.
Smelt Shoveler
A simple bug of the deep docks, welding a bidant. They cannot be bounced off of, but leave themselves foolishly vulnerable when winding up. Good if one finds themself low on silk.

Craftmetal
A simple metal found in Pharloom. Rare, but not as rare as in other places. It bares resemblance to some other volcanic stones I have seen on my journeys. Perhaps once upon a time, this land was bathed in lava.
This particular piece was found with the aid of high explosives. They seemed to be almost natural. How strange.
Straight Pin
The only good thing to come out of that jail was this straight pin. A simple weapon, but light and easily repaired. I highly suspect it will be replaced the moment I find a better tool.
