Silver meets with Malleus in the woods after they both have escaped their guards, but Silver doesn't know that the man in front of him is Malleus, his future husband, and since he considers the fae a close friend of many years(even if he doesn't know his name at all) he just starts saying things like, "I'm very scared because they say my husband-to-be is very scary and powerful :((" while the whole time Malleus is like "Ohhh, don't worry, I'm sure it will be fine."

Silver just starts ranting about how he wishes he could marry someone he loved and Malleus (WHO'S SEETHING INSIDE) asks him "And that would be?" And Silver just says "At least someone that I know, like you!" And Malleus just calms down, they say goodbye to each other and Silver apologizes to Malleus since he won't be able to see him anymore, as he's going to the Briar Valley to live with his new husband. Only to be met with Malleus at the altar. Smiling at him.

As always, you're cooking, anon!! I always have a soft spot for these sorts of arranged marriage + hidden identity plots, where things end up working for our lovely couple in the end—they're just so cute! I especially adore the prospect of Malleus trying SO hard to get his (likely overprotective) mother to approve the marriage, trying his best to tie his childhood sweetheart to him forever, only for his heart to drop at the sound of Silver's complaints about it! If Silver was talking about anyone other than him, their days would for sure be NUMBERED :') Luckily, though, he doesn't have much competition~
