I don’t think I made it very clear but last month I was sexually assaulted by someone who I thought was my friend (I don’t want to talk about it don’t ask), and it’s… really fucked with my head. 

Had I known this a month ago I would have been able to get away. 

So, essentially, I’m really pleading with you to reblog this so everyone who follows you doesn’t get stuck in the same position I was with no way out. 

It took me about a half hour to get down with practice, but once you get it, it’s an intuitive movement.

Probably other stuff, too, that’s just stuff formalized in (western) medicine from the past hundred-fifty years, give or take, off the top of my head. Pretty much any changes to that got pushback from the establishment from what I’m aware, specifically because guess what way things had always been done…!

In fact, it is outright illegal to try and collect those debts from a person who didn’t cosign the loan and isn’t executing the will.

My great-grandmother had her identity stolen before she died at the age of 93, and thousands of charges were racked up on credit cards in her name. After she passed away, they called my mother to try and collect. My mom laughed at them, and told them: “She’s dead, good luck collecting.” The credit card asked my mother, “Don’t you want to clear your grandmother’s debts? Don’t you want to clear her good name?” My mom laughed at them again. “No,” she said. “Because a 90 year old wasn’t watching porn with those credit cards, and her name is fine. Don’t give credit cards to old women likely to pass away soon. This is on you.”

If a loved one of yours dies and bill collectors (credit cards, loans, etc etc) start calling you off the hook and request that you pay off their debts, tell them in no uncertain terms to go fuck themselves.

The reason being is that the moment you give them a single penny, that debt is now on YOU because you’ve now agreed to pay it off.

brookesia by allurfavsaretrans. Small oneshot where if you were looking for a different reaction from Adrien at the end of the episode. Very satisfying.

A Good Journalist by angel_authoress. A rare oneshot where Alya redeems herself on her own. Light on salt but heartfelt apologies also scratch the itch I had after Chameleon.

Warmth by Peppermint_Miraculous (Peppermint_Shamrock). An amazing Kagaminette oneshot. Validating Marinette’s feelings ftw.

Unphoney Call by M-alcn (R_RK). Like my own fic, this one takes place where the sneak peak left off. Good calling Lila out oneshot.

Declining Mean of Intelligence also by M-alcn. A jab at the class and an outsider getting to call out Lila. No real resolution but good for a laugh!

Verisimilitude by ChaoticNeutral. I believe this also came out between sneak peak and episode. Good if you’re looking for some Alya comeuppance. A personal favorite despite the abrupt ending.

Saltinette by Freedom_Shamrock. Probably the most famous Salt fic that sparked them all. A two parter about Marinette taking care of herself first. No exposure or calling out, just Marinette deciding what’s best for herself.

Diablesse by juggiejunkie. I’m biased bc it’s based off my Akumanette Little Devil, but it’s genuinely good. Chloe redemption, Adrien redemption, Kagami, Lila getting called out, and class discomfort in one Seven Chapter fic <3

As Parents Must/Do by infinitelyalz. A series where in Marinette’s parents take up the mantel of shaming the class and exposing Lila. With the bonus of some Adrien parenting. A+ but minimal Marinette involvement.

Chameleon: Paving the Way to the Truth by Jenrgarcia. A canon divergence for the end of Chameleon that makes everything more…correct. Basically solving the issues with the class’ behavior and Alya’s dismissal of Marinette without throwing out the whole episode and having a similar ending. Two parter.

Little Devil by angelofthequeers. Yeah, I know, another Little Devil fic but it hits all the salt marks: Classmates called out, Lila called out, Chloe getting to be bitch but like…a productive bitch. And Adrien getting a shot at not being utterly spineless!

blinding leaps of faith by GuardianKarenTerrier. A lengthy oneshot wherein Marinette bonds closely with her team as Lila ends up slowly sabotaging herself. A more realistic take on what might come next with some interesting character studies. Another one I keep rereading.

menage a, uh, quatre? this isn’t adding up… by AlexSeanchai (EllieMurasaki). A…saucy identity reveal (Teen and Up Audiences) with a healthy side of Adrien is Not Having It and Pissed Off Lila.

House of Cards by TheHomestuckWhovian. A 14 chapter fic of the class coming to their own realizations. I love the characters and their reactions are very individualized, but I admit it’s a bit anticlimactic. But it’s a pretty realistic take on what would happen in the real world if a Lila came into your school.

Ongoing:

The Liar and the Broken Balance by Lady_LB. Adrien is in a tight spot where he needs to find Ladybug’s civilian self and regain her trust - something he has unintentionally lost! Primarily Adrien’s POV (3rd person but following him) as he deals with the fallout of his Do Nothing Policy. This fic updates very frequently but beware the angst!

Take Two by Leonardo_Charles_BlueWood_69. A “Marinette Transfers to Another School” fic. Bonus: Quantic Kids and Felinette! This fic is all about Happynette.

Marinette Dupain-Cheng’s Spite Playlist by caterinawrites (or better known as @purrincess-chat). My legit fav salt fic, it’s incredibly in character, it throws so much Alya shade (a personal plus in my salt fics, I’ve made no secret that I have personal problems with how Alya acted in Chameleon) Adrien redemption and growth, Marinette transfers and focuses on becoming Happynette! I look forward to every update.

Success, the best Sort of Revenge by Belge_kitty. A rare Kindess Nette fanfic. Her approach is just to be awesome and to trip up Lila when she can without malice. Doesn’t update super quick but always worth the wait.
