Hi everyone! I called a lot of attention to my current writing project I have going on my patreon, but I’d like to talk a bit more about the Recipes!

Growing up spending most of my days barefoot in the woods of Appalachia, I learned a lot about the plants that call the hills home. The coolest thing I learned is that many of them are edible! Some of them relieve mosquito bites! Others are great for soap!

I’ve shared photos of my little creations on this blog over the years, but I’ve always been reluctant to post any of my recipes. It just made me a bit nervous telling people to go out and ya know, stick plants in their mouths.

However! I’ve done some more research and picked out some recipes that pretty much anyone can figure out, even if you’re a city slicker.

Do Note: I won’t teach medicinal herb craft beyond bug-bite and poison ivy relief. Nothing you learn will cure anything past a bad collection of mosquito bites. I’m an amateur herbalist, not a doctor. My lessons are for food, fun, and a little bit of relief!

The Legend of Black Shuck is alive and well in Suffolk, observing the town of Bungay from its perch atop the market square weathervane. it is even included as part of the town’s coat of arms. While in Blythburgh’s Holy Trinity Church one can find scratch marks on the church door allegedly made by Shuck itself.
