This week’s goal: decide which colour to use for Kikuchiyo’s yabane arrow motif on his kosode. After I drafted up the design last night, I played around with some colours and these are the options I came up with.
Personally, I’m inclined towards the reds and red-browns but the gray/blues are also pretty hot. GIMME YO OPINIONS GUYS. (I’m even open to suggestions like “mauve.”)

We were part of the golden age of Japanese cinema together. When I look back at each and every film, I couldn’t have made them without you. You gave so much of yourself. Thank you my friend. For one last time, over a bottle of sake, I would I could have told you all of this. Goodbye, my old friend. I will see you soon.
Akira Kurosawa would pass away less than a year later on September 6, 1998
