oh hey, ive seen ygo gx! for judai it's kinda like... hard to describe??? He's very much just got the adhd vibes. he's energetic, not the best at understanding social cues, does poorly in school but he's great at hands-on learning, stuff like that.

So. Um. This is awkward.

The truth is, I'd kind of forgotten this blog existed? I didn't see any notifications for it so it seemed like everyone had lost interest, and then I kind of lost interest for that reason. But apparently I actually have been getting notes this whole time?? Yikes. Sorry, yall. Not sure what happened there. Some combination of my own executive dysfunction and the magic of the tumblr app, I assume?

Anyway there's a bunch of asks in the ask box and I'm going to work on getting them queued up over this weekend. If you have anything you've been wanting to send in, please send it! I'll try to add a few of my own headcanons as well, although I have been hyperfixating on media that I've already done headcanons for so they might not be... super fresh.

Are villains allowed?

Villains are allowed. We don't make moral judgements here because ADHD doesn't affect your morals (nor does any other neurodivergence but yall know we primarily deal with ADHD here), and some people enjoy seeing themselves in villains. Anyway, villains can be just as fun as heroes!

Tigger from Winnie the Pooh!

Tigger wrote the book on hyperactive ADHD. Or maybe it was written by someone else for him, since I think Tigger would find writing a book to be very boring!

Just a few thoughts:

Sings songs about himself and things around him (verbal stims)

Actually, his intro song sounds like scripting to me! He’s clearly hit on something he likes and now he’s gonna say it whenever he can.

Makes up words when he can’t think of one to fit the situation (not because the word he wants doesn’t exist - he just can’t think of it. valid.)

He’s bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy, fun fun fun fun fun (and hyperactive with a lot of charisma but few social graces)

Rarely thinks things through and inadvertently causes problems for himself and his friends because of it (but they love him anyway)

There’s actually... a lot that can be said about Tigger, but I want to boil it down to one simple (and probably far too serious) thing: Even if you’re weird, even if you ruffle feathers or feel out of depth in social situations, your friends still love you. Just like Tigger causes a lot of problems by being himself, but he’s also one of the most beloved children’s characters of all time.

i saw that adhd tybalt post from a while ago, and i’d like to say: adhd mercutio!

Yeah! Mercutio is impulsive and temperamental, but also widely regarded as friendly and well-liked. Depending on the adaptation you can say a LOT about what symptoms he has but uhh it’s been a long time since I watched any adaptation of Romeo and Juliet so I don’t have anything solid off the top of my head.
