I already made a masterpost for them, but I wanted a new one so here we are. I wanted to go into a little more detail about the events taking place in these artworks so anyone who is interested can learn about my babies.
All artworks contain links to the original posts made by the artists who I commissioned them from (except in one case, where the art is posted on my own blog), and the artists are also tagged.
My AU is primarily based on The Lord of the Rings film universe, with book details added in — along with some random details from The Lord of the Rings online that I read about on the wiki. The most major changes to the story are that Boromir marries a woman named Aeroniel a few months before leaving Minas Tirith for Rivendell, and that he survives being shot by arrows at Amon Hen. After that, he continues to travel with Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli. (There is a single piece of NSFW artwork in this post, so you have been warned!)

After learning that his father planned to betroth him to his cousin Lothíriel, Boromir realised the depths of his feelings for Aeroniel. Boromir had long believed that he would never marry, but meeting Aeroniel — and most importantly, imagining a world where he was married to someone who wasn't her — pushed him to finally tell her how he felt about her and ask her to be his wife. Soon after Boromir proposed, he and Aeroniel married in secret, with Faramir as their only witness. They knew that Denethor would never approve of Boromir marrying someone who he didn't choose, so they vowed to keep their relationship secret until the time was right. Aeroniel didn't want Boromir to leave Minas Tirith and travel to Rivendell, and he didn't wish to leave either. She tried to convince him to not go, and he stayed with her that night, but he had to leave the next morning. Stunning artwork by @kuuniichi 🩵
After the Horn of Gondor washed up on the banks of the Anduin, Faramir visited Aeroniel and informed her that they believed Boromir dead. Weeks later, Boromir returned to Minas Tirith very much alive, and reunited with his darling wife. Gorgeous artwork by @dagnyart 💜
Not long after the end of the war, Aeroniel discovered that she was with child. Months later, while he is out training some soldiers, Boromir was told that his wife had gone into labour. He rushed back home to find that his child — a daughter — had already been born. Though he missed the birth, Boromir was still overjoyed. After so long without hope for the future, here was the manifestation of it bundled up in his arms. Aeroniel suggested that they name her Finduilas, after Boromir's late mother. what people don’t understand about how adhd is disabling is that it’s not just getting temporarily distracted from, like, school work or hobbies. it’s getting distracted/being unable to motivate yourself to go to the doctor, eat regularly, do hygiene tasks, etc. it’s not knowing when or how long it will take you to do something, ANYTHING, and in many cases that thing is taking a shower or keeping your house from turning into a biohazard. it’s about being fundamentally incapable of controlling your attention and focus on anything, even and especially things you need to do to survive.
Look at this shit. Look at how violent, hypocritical, dishonest, sexist and racist the Pokemon fandom is being about Jacinthe. Purely because she's a black woman - because Corbeau is equally bad (if not worse!) and he's the fandom darling. You would NEVER see this much vitriol towards a male character, especially an 'attractive' pale man. Even an ugly, threatening mob boss who stalks you, threatens you and your friends, tricks civilians into lifelong debt and enslaves them for free labour is defended.
And don't start about how he's 'just a Pokemon character' IF you are simultaneously vilifying Jacinthe and treating her more unrealistic and cartoony schemes like she's a fucking serial killer and not obviously an embodiment of traditional fairies. You can excuse a children's game whitewashing a mob boss who uses real tactics to control vulnerable people LIKE IN REAL LIFE but not the over-the-top fairy woman running a fantasy creature tournament? Get the fuck out of here. I don't care if you hate her AND Corbeau equally (although I'm not seeing any posts wishing death and violence on him 👀), but this overall trend is just blatantly misogynoir and I'm so fucking sick of people pretending otherwise.
On their own, some of these comments might not mean much and I acknowledge that some of the blogs shown might not mean anything harmful. But look at how much I found in just a single morning in the Jacinthe tag. Look at how many people are rushing to say such violent and disturbing shit about a fictional black woman, or giving her the least amount of grace possible. Pulling out every justification for hating her while defending their shitty blorbo because they want to fuck him. And a lot of these people are leaving comments instead of tags on reblogs because they KNOW that it would look bad to any followers they have.
Call this shit out in your fandom, examine your own biases and stop acting like this doesn't clearly reflect real-world dynamics. Corbeau stans - your community is especially harbouring these racist, sexist losers, so you need to do something about it.

Abby exhibits all the same flaws (incredibly central to the overall story of the game) as Joel and Ellie do, but Joel gets a pass 'cause he's the beloved man and Ellie barely gets a pass because she's at least at "our" side. Meanwhile Abby is afforded no such grace. Her being muscular only makes things worse because looking "unattractive" to a general boring male audience is a crime even worse than killing their blorbo (while said blorbo can surely kill whoever he wants and the theme of the narrative is just irrelevant I suppose). Plus those same muscles lead to any femininity she has (and she has notably more than Ellie) being denied to her, 'cause. Booo, muscles. Manly.
Abby starts as a traumatized revenge-obsessed girl much like Ellie then becomes in turn. As the plot goes on she displays actual compassion over and over. She shows that she's not a monster. The way she helps Lev and Yara, the way she takes Lev under her wing. (The way she's never transphobic to him either). The way she ends up sparing Dina despite narratively having every "right" to take that life(s) for a life(s). She does that growth before the other people in the narrative do. And she deserved so much more grace, if not love, than she got.
Death threats to the actress, massive temper tantrum online, endless debates about how her physique isn't realistic, compilations of her in-game deaths going viral with comments all saying how much they hate her….. People will straight up be so smug about how "wow the game is telling me revenge is bad I already knew that" and then bullied several actual human beings as revenge for a fictional character's death. Like maybe y'all do need to have someone sit you down pre-K style and explain that revenge is bad ¯_(ツ)_/¯

She has spent nigh on 30 years relegated to the mom friend soft girl empath dungeon when she's actually a pretty well rounded character who can be mean, snarky, and even wrong sometimes.
She is kind and smart and funny and she has mommy issues!! She refuses to marry just to make her mom happy, she commands respect even when she is one of 2 women in the room, she reminds the humans to be respectful of other cultures and species, and she has long been under-appreciated
The double standard between the fandom treatment of fictional fathers and fictional mothers is so frustrating.
Like with a fictional mother, it genuinely doesn’t matter if she’s a good mother. It doesn’t matter how much she loves her kids or the things that she does for them. If she isn’t a completely perfect angel who’s done nothing wrong ever, she’s evil and her children would be so much better off if she was dead.
But as long as a fictional father is acknowledging his kid(s) and not actively trying to kill them, he’s father of the year. He can be canonically shown to be a poor father but everyone will be like “leave him alone, he’s just a single mom working two jobs 😭”
