GHOSTED is a graphic novel in development that follows a recent college graduate, Mel, who loses her best friend in a fatal accident and suddenly begins to see her ghost. Adapted from the screenplay I wrote, Bucket List of the Dead, this novel is a visual exploration of grief with supernatural trappings, following a stoic protagonist, zombie-like spirits, and philosophical debates about acceptance of death.

Not everyone can say they’ve seen a ghost, but the feelings of loss they represent are universal; the solidarity of having lived. Through the tribulation of acceptance, part of the five stages of grief, there is always that quiet moment where we think, “I’d do just about anything to get back to where I’ve been.” The question is: What would you be willing to do to get back?

currently watching: i’ve been incredibly sick this past week so i went on a science saru (the animation studio behind tatami galaxy & devilman crybaby) binge and that somehow led to me watching smiling friends. it’s good!! i like the creative direction. some of the visual gags are really funny

current obsession: songxuexiao and janka. they’re my emotional support disasters

currently reading: Ashura by Quintin Jose V. Pastrana. i’m still too early into the book to form concrete opinions on it but the synopsis sounds interesting

currently working on: a science magazine!! i’m doing some layout and writing for it. it’s sucking my soul out but im having fun

Current obsession: Haven't had a lot of time for fixations recently but I've been really into Dinner in America and Cyberpunk 2077.

Currently working on: I just finished my animation and game arts senior capstone project!!! The exhibition was on Saturday so I finally have time to work on stuff for fun! I'm probably gonna be updating my artfight refs over the next few weeks.

Currently working on: I also just finished my senior capstone and I immediately started pumping out fanart (trust and believe there will be more), but my current project is a short animation to Against the Kitchen Floor but I’ve come to learn I hate animating but I’ve started already so I can’t stop now.
