The beautiful thing about the fandom for The Passenger (2023) is that it’s literally all gay.
The movie doesn’t even really make that much sense unless you just accept that Benson wants that sniveling, spineless cookie so effing bad.
And the movie itself is mainly just them driving around together and looking at each other in tense silence so there really isn’t anything else to focused on besides their barely subtextual homosexuality.
So what you’re left with is a fanbase full of unwell homos (myself included) making the most beautiful and nuanced art you’ve ever seen about two coworkers who go on an impromptu road trip around their decaying small town. There’s really no place I’d rather be.
