I just wanted to tell you all, how to download from The Sims Resource without ANY ads and without waiting time.

First of all: I’m sorry for making grammar mistakes…

I’m German, so please read this text with a German accent! HAHAHA

We all know The Sims Resource exists for years now and we’re all happy this site provides us with a lot of beautiful and free downloads. BUT you’ll get free Sims stuff AND a freezing browser (mine freezes for 5 mins) AND sometimes nasty viruses or more. Thanks TSR!

I understand that they need the money, I understand that they need the ads to survive. A lot of websites have ads. But it is too much at TSR!!!

So I figured out a simple method to browse TSR ad-free, save and how to get the downloads immediately. (People from TSR, please do not hate me.)

I only tested this method with my Chrome Browser. It could work with others too. Please test it, and tell me =)

If you don’t have Chrome. Get it now! (…use Google..) Install and open Chrome.

Add this Ad Blocker uBlock Origin to Chrome. Why this one? Because TSR doesn’t recognize this as an Ad Blocker (well, at the moment), so you don’t have to wait 60 seconds and you won’t see the ‘red message‘.

Disable all your previous Ad Blockers. You don’t have to delete them, only disable them, as long as you browse at TSR.

Add the TSR Ad Skipper to Chrome. This skips the last 10 seconds.

Open The Sims Resource and get your downloads!

That’s it! I hope this works for you too! I’m not sure, how long this method will work. I know that TSR is always trying to stop us from bypassing the counter.

TSM Long Curly Hair

This hair has been converted before, but it had a lot of potential for a remake.

The accessory is now CaStable, therefore it’s under hat-hair.

The four hair-channels are used all over the hair to add colour-accents (see here).

The hair sits noticeably lower on the head than Sage’s conversion.

The normal-map is a bit crisper.

And there’s a child-version. Included is a linked version which requires the adult hair to be installed and a standalone, which is larger in filesize but independent. They’re exactly the same otherwise.

This Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity for a Follower Appreciation Gift. I want to give you a hearty thank you! I feel very blessed to have a bunch of the very best followers: Compassionate, creative, patient, open-minded, friendly… Recently, you participated in my survey (28 of you! I received great feedback) and you were very forthcoming with donations (so far, I  collected over 70% of the needed sum) and reblogs. You like and comment my posts and read very long text posts. You know just what to say when times are tough and you spread joy and love, motivation and encouragement. Today, I hand-painted this pattern for you. I am a bit too late to post on Valentine’s Day (at least in my timezone), but I designed, drew, created, colored, tested, screenshotted, corrected, polished and uploaded it all in just one day. (New record!) I hope you like the design, I tried to keep it fresh and cool and not too tacky.

Jacket with Rolled Shirt for men

Fact is that the 70s, 80s, and 90s pack did not give us enough clothing. In theory it’d be cool to do that oversized look but with the morphs and other pieces of clothing in this game, it wouldn’t translate too well. So I turned to one of my fave games ever and tried to get something similar to what Ken and Tommy (the Soiree one) use in GTA Vice City.

Relaxed the graffiti jacket from the University EP, added the shirt I converted from s4, put in some oversized cuffs and this is the result :)

Notes/Known Issues:

The UV might be janky. I did my best and it’s not a complete deal breaker. Like with a lot of clothing, beware with patterns!

The bones are a little bad on the armpit area. I tried fixing it but I ended up making it concave 😬 so I’m just gonna leave it as-is.
