Do you see my fond smiles and huffed laughs

Do you watch me as I follow your movements out of the corner of my eye

Fascinated at what you are doing even in the most mundane moments?

Do you see me dramatically groaning at your jokes

Do you hear me cackling at your complaints

Have you watched me light up when you enter a room?

Noticed me following behind your every step?

When your heart is breaking, do you hear my offer of comfort?

See my hands and smell the hot chocolate I place on your bedside table?

Do you hear my unspoken words? My inability to put action to feelings and resolve to provide comfort however I can?

Please tell me you hear my jokes

You know my annoyed huffs at your antics are full of sugar and cinnamon

That you taste the mix of tea and chocolate, and recognize the extra moment of thought I put into your drink

Tell me you know I love you

I've never fallen from quite this high,

I suppose I should cry

But tears refuse to fall from my eyes,

Instead, I'll gaze at the endless sky,

And seek the beauty in the stars so high,

For in their twinkle, a melody lies,

A symphony of glow

I guess they have put on a show

With each shimmer, a tale they bestow,

A kaleidoscope of colors that flow.

Oh, how peaceful it is to be,
