cant stand time zones. i want to experience time together

in my mind, evan buckley shows up outside tommy kinard's front door on december 24th, knocks, and when the door opens he holds up a sign that says "say it's carol singers" - to which tommy laughs because there's no one else here. but evan starts the boombox anyway and he cycles through the cue cards he's holding that tell tommy how much these past weeks have hurt, how much he cares for and misses tommy in his life, how he's gotten really good at building a life that he loves but he needs tommy in it too. because he needs to say, just because it's christmas (and at christmas you tell the truth) to me you are perfect, and my wasted heart will love you always.

i think what is starting to hit me is the most difficult part, beyond the initial shock and the sinking in, realizing the finality of it is so so hard like . these are not just a bad few days, or weeks, before everything gets better and goes back to normal . this is final and never changing. not even one last time and that’s so scary

started thinking about zayn, going on his first tour in less than a week, losing the one he last shared this with ten years ago . then i started thinking about louis, who’s strength and optimism is being pushed once again after losing his mum, sister and now brother. thinking of harry who also lost friends in similar circumstances . and niall, who was the last of the boys to see him, as his friend came to support him and sing the words they sang together back at him . thinking about them together . how they protected each other the best they could from the start . none of them deserves any of this
