I don’t Togashi will just introduce a love interest just like that. There’s been no romance in the manga/show. In the manga, Gon describes Noko as younger. In the newest panel, I’m not sure if it’s the angle but she does look pretty young compared to him. It makes me think it’s more of a looking up to him sort of dynamic, or simply just another friendship.

It also irks me how people are immediately running to assume this is a romance/shipping Gon and Noko just because she appeared in this newest panel but swear up and down Killugon can’t be a possibility. Togashi has already put so many queer undertones into hxh alone, not to mention his other works. Killua has used the term ‘lovers suicide’ when referring to him and Gon, gotten past his brother’s manipulation so that he could protect Gon, and sooo much more and yet that’s out of the question? But Noko being in the same panel as Gon is enough to name her as the love interest/future wife?😭

People immediately run to the ending that Togashi had shared a couple years back, where Noko ends up marrying Gon. He said himself that he didn’t like that ending, which is exactly why he chose to share it. It felt more of like a ‘here damn’ just in case anything were to go wrong. It also felt very cliche, like it didn’t fit the rest of hxh at all.

So far, Noko has barely been shown, so for people to immediately jump to conclusions on BOTH sides. Some saying she’ll get in the middle of the ship, or others saying Gon’s future wife is finally being introduced. I feel like it’s not fair to base her character off of the ending Togashi clearly doesn’t even like for his story.

I’m sure she’ll be shown more in depth just like literally all of Togashi’s other characters, and I don’t think she should immediately be assumed love interest. I’m excited to see how Togashi writes her since she’s barely been shown before.

Superrrr Basic Summary: Rouge manages to drag Shadow along to a tropical vacation spot much to his dismay. There, he manages to loosen up a bit and meets Sonic, a local. Tension quickly grows between the pair, but it’s not as simple as it seems. Especially when Sonic is trapped in a toxic relationship he doesn’t know how to get out of.

A Breath of Sunshine by tarotaron

Relationships: Sonic/Shadow, background Knuckles/Rouge

Extra Info: Sonic Prime Sonadow, Sonic has some trauma, Shadow helps with said trauma, cute confessions, figuring out feelings

Super Basic Summary: After the events of Sonic Prime, Sonic is having trouble dealing with everything that has transpired, especially when he doesn’t know if his shatterverse friends are truly safe or not. A panic attack later, Shadow somehow ends up being a source of comfort. They both grow to realize unusual feelings.

My opinion: IT WAS SUPER CUTE. Idk if I’m just emotional but I was sobbing a whole bunch throughout this fic. The depictions after trauma felt realistic and the comforting was super cute. Their realizations were as well. Definitley a great fic and super well written too :’)

Extra Info: Secret Relationship, trying to be inconspicuous but failing miserably, cute interactions between all characters!

Super basic summary!!: Sonic and Shadow have been dating for a bit, yet they haven’t told anyone. Sonic and friends have a yearly camping trip, and this year Sonic invites his boyfriend so that he can begin connecting with his closest friends.

My opinion: SO CUTE This story was so well written and the moments between Sonic and Shadow were very sweet. It was a shorter fic but the author managed to fit in cute scenes between the different characters, not just Sonic and Shadow, so that the connections all felt more realistic! Really good overall
