I knew God was real when he trusted me to carry and take care of his masterpiece, being a single mom those words have always come with a wave of negativity. I pictured single moms bitter and lonely and her responsibilities pile much higher than that sink of dirty dishes. Being a single mom is the most shameful thing in the world. I learned the whole truth the moment I became a single mom. First thing I did was to pray and remind myself that God was in control over circumstances. These past months have been a rollercoaster, some of my battles I have conquered with the strength of the Lord. My son is turning one on Saturday. And I’ve been reflecting back to how it all began and where I am now. I’ve been holding on to Christ and maintaining my spiritual life, With that being said my son feeds on my energy, there’s no time for bad energy or to be bitter. I want to achieve, succeed and be happy, for my offspring as much as myself now. He is my driving force. And to do that, I have to hustle, I shouldn’t feel scared to put myself out there, to share my own life, my fears, my honest take on the world and to pursue what I want from my career and life.
