Danny's Corner

Matthias and Cornflower were walking down the dusty path, several miles south of the Abbey. They had taken leave of their duties for the day to spend some much-needed time together. 

Lost in thought, Matthias did not notice a stranger coming down the path until Cornflower called it to his attention.

“Matthias, do you see that?”

Peering into the distance, Matthias looked at the strange sight. “It looks like a hedgehog, but I’ve never seen one with that particular…coloration.”

Matthias and Cornflower continued down that path until their path crossed with the mysterious hedgehog-like creature.

“Good morning, friend,” they greeted him. 

“Good morning,” he replied, his voice strangely accented. “I’ve come looking for Redwall Abbey, but I am very lost, tell me…
