NEW STUFF + Contact Info
FIRST! Lots of new stuff is on the way, almost all concert photography. I’ve got an absurd amount of backlogged photos (and videos) just dying to be shared. The current number of yet to be processed/published shows I’ve shot since 2011 is 34 (and counting) - I’ll be starting with the most recent shows first and working my way back, with a few exceptions. I took a hiatus from my photography but I’m coming back...with a vengeance. Right now my Insta is the most active (@Postlapsaria) but I’ll be posting the full show uploads elsewhere (and will link them when they’re up).
SECOND! Lately I’ve had a lot of people ask for my contact info and also a lot of people msg me on my various sites/pages which makes it tough to get back to everyone (I will, though! Just a bit difficult while traveling) so to simplify things, I have a new e-mail for anyone who wants to reach me:
Hit me up there about anything your heart desires. <3 Lots of new material coming soon that I’m really excited to finally share with the world. :] Keep your eyes open.
-Alec
A few highlight shots I took at the first Saosin reunion show featuring Anthony green (Tumblr: anthonygreenschildren) on vocals in Philadelphia - these are a *very* small sampling of all the photos I took, I have just under 2,000 pictures between the 2 cameras I was shooting with which I’m still working on processing/uploading to a full gallery and will post here when the full thing is up, so keep watching here for when that gallery gets posted.
BTW I still haven’t forgotten about the photos from the other shows I’ve shot recently & gotten requests for either; moving, travel, work, lack of computer & other life things have been making it slow going but I’m still committed to getting all the galleries of the shows I’ve shot up and posted ASAP. Keep checking back!
Highlight reel of close-up front row video footage I shot at the first Saosin reunion show with Anthony Green - (Â anthonygreenschildren ) - in Philadelphia, PA at Union Transfer on May 16th, 2014. Â The full videos are available on my Youtube channel here in full HD:Â http://youtube.com/lanvids
As you might be able to tell, I got landed on.  A lot.  Including by Mr. Green himself at the beginning of their very first song, Lost Symphonies, after he leaped directly over me and then got pulled back on stage on top of me by a stage manager (couldn't have asked for a better start to a show).  I was shooting the show with two DSLR cameras + 5 lenses and have no idea how they all survived it, but somehow they did.  Even if they hadn't, it still would have been worth it just to be there and be a part of that night at the epicenter of one of the most incredible live shows I've been to (and I've been to a lot of shows).  Photos from this show will be posted in the future (I took just under 2,000 that night), for now check out the videos on my YT channel to see just how intense and amazing this reunion show was.
Geoff Rickly - geoffreyrickly - talking about the origins of Thursday, telling a story and giving some meaning and background information on the song "This Song Brought to You by a Falling Bomb" before closing his set with an acoustic version of it.
I shot this at the Saosin/Anthony Green reunion show in Philadelphia, PA at Union Transfer on May 16th, 2014. Â My photos from the show will be linked here when they're up.

A compilation of footage I shot from several different shows on The Old Danny Brown Tour, Spring 2014. Highly recommended to watch with Annotations on so you can catch some subtle moments (a few of which may be NSFW) throughout the video that I point out. Also recommended to watch in Full HD.
Bonus points if you can count every person smoking or lighting up during the second clip and in the 4 pics that follow. (There's a slo-mo replay of this clip at the end of the vid that makes it easier to count.)
Even more bonus points if you can catch the couple having sex in the crowd without having the annotations enabled pointing them out. Consider it a dirty "where's waldo."
This tour was crazy and so, so much fun. Go see xdannyxbrownx live whenever possible, nothing else like it. Tons of tour photos still to come; thought I'd have the galleries up tonight but the new Flickr layout is killing me with these upload errors. Got a long train ride to NYC tomorrow so hopefully I can get it somewhat sorted out then, but keep watching, I'm still working like crazy on these things & they'll be worth the wait, srsly. <3
Girls rush the stage to dance and twerk to xdannyxbrownx's final song of the night, Dip, in Northampton, MA on April 4th, 2014 at The Pearl Street Night Club. Though he finished with this song at the other shows I was at too (except for an encore of "Lonely" in Boston) this was the only show that I saw anything like this happen. Props to the Northampton crowd.
This place was so ridiculously smoky/humid that both of my cameras kept getting messed up by it and not focusing properly due to the lens fogging over entirely every 5 seconds, so while I have a ton of shots (84 to be exact) from the final 35 seconds or so of Danny's set that night, not many of those last shots came out too great. Still, thought it would be cool to add in a montage of all of them in sequence since the number of subsequent shots almost makes it like a video anyway.
A "trailer" of my footage from The Old Danny Brown Tour - all video footage I shot on the tour is NOW UP on my Youtube channel; http://www.youtube.com/lanvids – check it out & see just how crazy these shows were.  The videos feature xdannyxbrownx xskywlkr & @xDOPEHEADx and the crowds going fucking crazy (and in one instance literally fucking...unless that was just an awkward pose I caught them in.)  The most recently uploaded vid on my Youtube channel is def worth a watch (and is possibly NSFW at one point) & has 35 or so pictures as a slideshow at the end, so for those wanting to see the photos there's a sampling to enjoy there before the full photo galleries are uploaded tomorrow.  Stay tuned.
Never experienced a more weed-permeated show than this one & this video was shot just about at the apex of it. While waiting for the final video from the Old Danny Brown Tour shows to finish uploading to YouTube here's another @xdannyxbrownx IG vid. Originally this was a Snapchat video that I shot & saved; cut off kinda prematurely due to the 10 sec Snapchat limit so to take advantage of IG's 15 second limit I added an extra 5 secs at the end feat. 2 photos I shot just before the Snapchat vid, set to a clip of the acapella version of the song for dat IG vid production value. Bonus points if you can count every person smoking or lighting up during the video/in the last 2 pics. (Hint: there are more than 5 visible & the dude at the end handing Danny the blunt counts) More tomorrow, along with full HD video links. Now time for a bunch of weed-related hashtags that I def never anticipated I'd use on here when I first made this account #dannybrown #ODBT #theolddannybrowntour #hiphop #rap #bluntafterblunt #chant #420 #weedstagram #instaweed #instahigh #weednation #highlife #pot #marijuana #kush #w420 #weedporn #cannabis #cannabiscommunity #weedstagram420 #blunts #smoke #420BLAZEIT #weedmakesmeterriblyparanoid #sadface #truelife #thisshowwassofunthough
While sorting through & processing my photos of one of Danny Brown's shows from his 2014 Old Danny Brown Tour (this particular show was at The Met in Pawtucket, RI) I found this sequence of 7 shots to be mildly amusing. Being massively sleep deprived at the time may have made them more amusing than they really are (I especially enjoyed the expressions of some of the members of the crowd in a few of these pics) but I figured they were worth a share, even though most would typically be throwaway shots.
Commentary:
Photo 1: White Shirt Dude (henceforth referred to as WSD) crowd surfs toward stage to the dismay of crowd beneath him & entertainment of the unaffected crowd to either side [Highlights; guy with black shirt holding up WSD's foot, guy to the right with short light hair with his fist up cheering WSD on, guy directly above WSD's knee who looks utterly lost & guy on the far left in the white XXX album art shirt staring at me with a look on his face like he just realized he left the stove on or some shit.]
Photo 2: WSD gets closer, black hat guy in front row gets kicked in the head [Highlights: Guy directly below WSD's fist and the girl to the left of the guy with the gray striped sweatshirt look none too happy with their current situations; :( kinda feel a little bad]
Photo 3: WSD makes it to the stage, shares a tender moment with Danny
Photo 4: Danny looks at me while WSD attempts to climb up fully for a stage dive
Photo 5: WSD makes it all the way up & security guard on stage behind me leaps into action
Photo 6: Security guard (guy behind Danny in black coat & beanie hat) runs after WSD, WSD sees guard coming for him, inexplicably pulls his shirt over his head like a ghost costume and rushes toward opposite end of the stage for the stage dive. [Highlights: Danny and Dopehead are pros and keep killing it throughout all this. Also, girl in front row with puka shell bracelet just completely ducks for cover at this point.]
Photo 7: WSD *ALMOST MAKES IT* but is grabbed by security guard just as WSD attempts to leap off the speaker. Meanwhile, Danny, now inches away & out of focus in the foreground, seemingly adjusts himself
Epilogue: WSD is led off the far back of the stage by security guard (presumably to the exit) in defeat. I have photos of this too but they're too dark to really see much.
Fun fact: according to the EXIF data these 7 photos all took place within an 18 second time frame.
Oh yeah and I made 15 second video out of these on Instagram here set to Danny's music: http://instagram.com/p/nzACE6GkVU/#
Lastly, still working on the photos from this DB show and others from the Old Danny Brown Tour (nonstop) & will have full galleries up soon, figured some people might enjoy this in the meantime though.

OLD DANNY BROWN TOUR SWAG
Posting these mementos from my time on the tour while waiting for my pics and vids to finish processing. Click-through for the full sized photo is recommended, or click here for full-res if on mobile: http://bit.ly/dannybrownswag
IN THIS PIC:
Danny Brown's 4xLP Deluxe Box Set of his record Old put out by foolsgoldrecs & for sale on their online store here: http://store.foolsgoldrecs.com/products/danny-brown-old-vinyl-deluxe (Side note: Buy this thing, it is 1000% worth it) featuring a giant lyric book, four 180g vinyl records (two of which contain the exclusive instrumentals from the album), download code card & a giant poster of the album art.
My vinyl of XXX that I brought along from home and Danny signed for me (got that shit framed)
My press passes/photo passes
Setlist from one of the shows I got afterward
Tickets for 4 Danny Brown shows - including one for the Higher Ground show in Burlington, VT but sadly couldn’t make it; heard it was crazy.
The Rockstar energy drink can makes a reappearance from my post-Boston show pic upped to my Instagram (pic here), strategically placed next to the bottle of Hennessy as homage to a lyric in the Danny Brown song "Die Like A Rockstar" - fuck yeah, triple reference.
Boston Holiday Inn room key - the key to the same hotel room my Instagram post w/the Rockstar can originally appeared in (linked above) - I forgot to return the key I guess but SORRY NOT SORRY, rudest staff/worst customer service ever, wifi that kept cutting out as I was trying to upload the highlight shots from the Boston show to submit to Complex & the most overpriced hotel room ever. But I have your spare room key so take THAT, Holiday Inn; #rekt
Bag of Cool Ranch Doritos that I bought specifically to include in this shot as another reference - needs no explanation if you’re a DB fan. True story, ever since first hearing that lyric I can no longer eat those things so I’ll drop that bag off at a food bank or something. Thanks xdannyxbrownx for keeping me healthier by staying off 1 type of junk food & possibly improving someone's day slightly by donating these (do they even accept bags of chips at food banks? If not, there’s so much uneaten good food in my house due to me being sick/unable to eat lately that this reminded me I need to donate anyway)
Parking pass for a Northampton parking lot. Was kinda running out of souvenirs at this point.
Temporary storage for my music collection of 12", 10" and 7" vinyl + CDs, DVDs & books/other items by musicians involuntarily featured on the left side of the pic cause I have nowhere else to put them at the moment (I live in a tiny cabin in the woods, seriously), so no, my bedroom isn’t filled with garbage if that's what you assumed those boxes to be. Viewing the pic full size helps confirm this.
P.S. Shoutout to everyone I hung out with, talked to & met during my time on this tour who made the shows 100x more memorable - both backstage, in the crowd & before/after the shows - Everybody who performed (btw go check out all their music NOW - Danny, @ZelooperZ, @BodegaBAMZ, @xDOPEHEADx, @xskywlkr), special shoutout to Dart for being especially awesome, everyone I met and talked to in the crowd and before/after the shows - @liamaphotography, @markwheeler2332 & a LOT more who I unfortunately don't have the names for anymore. Seriously, there were a ton of people who wrote down their contact info for me at these shows asking me to send them the pics/vids when they’re up or even just to keep in touch but one of my camera bags got stolen in Boston which had all the papers w/the contact info I’d collected & I dunno how to find the rest of you so if any of you happen to be reading this hit me up!
A collage of a few of my shots from 3 different shows on The Old Danny Brown Tour - FULL PHOTO SETS COMING SOON! VIDEO FOOTAGE COMING EVEN SOONER! First 5 shots are xdannyxbrownx (Dopehead featured in shot #2 - @xDOPEHEADx / Dopehead's Bandcamp)
Next 2 are Bodega Bamz - sayohla / www.bodegabamz.com
Next 2 are ZelooperZ - @ZelooperZ / ZelooperZ Soundcloud
(Last shot is a crowd surfer narrowly avoiding landing on me in Boston. Crowd surfing guy, if you’re reading this, lemme know and I’ll be happy to tag you.)
Check out & support each of these acts if you haven't already and especially catch them on the remaining dates of the Old Danny Brown Tour if possible - *SO* worth it. Click-through on the image for the full res collage (or click here if on mobile: http://bit.ly/odbtpic ) and by all means spread it around, reblog it etc. Btw, I made this collage a while ago when I was mostly working on photos from the Boston show & had only still skimmed through the photos from the other dates but after thoroughly looking through those other shots & working on them I've realized that the shots in this collage aren't even the highlights from the tour; there are some totally ridiculous photos from the Pawtucket, RI show for example that I won't spoil til they're published, but basically I could make a full length photo book out of those things. The stage-diving and crowd-surfing shots alone from that show could be made into a 20-minute slideshow on Youtube at like 5-seconds per pic (I might actually do this at some point). Also some potentially "XXX" action I noticed in the audience at the Northampton show in a series of photos I took but that might just be the angle hahaha. Anyway, keep your eyes peeled - expect to see a ton more Danny Brown/Old Danny Brown Tour photos/footage in the near future on here and on my Instagram (@Postlapsaria) so keep checking back! Boston photos shot for complexmagazine The images in this collage (and the rest of the shots from the shows when they're up) are available for license, for publication, or for anyone interested. Contact me for details: achphoto[AT]yahoo[DOT]com
Screenshots of thumbnails of my photos from 4 shows I shot in early April 2014.
The other night I got a bit bored & decided so I made this screenshot and labeled it at the top of each folder…keep in mind I took these screenshots with a monitor with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, a size significantly larger than average screen resolutions. You definitely need to use the click-through link & view the full thing (http://bit.ly/processclick for those on mobile) & even then it might be too small for anything legible to show up…that’s still the resized version.
The point being that the amount of time and effort behind processing shots can be pretty ridiculous. Especially considering sometimes one photo may need 40+ minutes of editing alone. Not complaining, I’m following my passion to the fullest extent, but hopefully this gives a better understanding as to what can be involved with photography, be it concert photography or otherwise, other than just “pointing and clicking.” Btw, hope to have a significant amount of these shots published in the very near future! You can already see highlights & a gallery link from show #4 in the post below & the first 3 shows (Danny Brown) I hope to have up tomorrow and/or Thursday. Oh, and the FULL (as in, huge) sized image of this can be viewed here: http://lanimilbus.com/host2/photoprocessfullsize.jpg Warning: it is a 20.6MB JPG file and is over 142 inches in width. So if you try to open the link on a 4 inch iPhone you will probably run into some issues.

The Saddest Landscape - Live At New Alliance (Photo Set)
March 24th, 2013
Cambridge, Massachusetts @ New Alliance Studios
Full set: http://bit.ly/liveatnewalliancephotos
---
These are photos I took at the live show/recording session for The Saddest Landscape's live record "Live At New Alliance" on March 24th, 2013 at New Alliance Studios in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Purchase the album here: http://topshelfrecords.bigcartel.com/artist/the-saddest-landscape The album was recorded in front of a live audience as part of a sold out show; the audience (including me) helped sing along and can be heard on the record. I had the greatest time ever. The album was put out by Topshelf Records in June 2013 as a 7 inch vinyl record and features more of my photos from the show in the album art and on the record itself. It's amazing, go buy it!
