Fellow UPP artists I know we love Norah she’s precious and perfect and had a great scene in this latest episode but I am begging yall not to forget that Lui was there Lui was guiding her.

“We do this together”

Together they are in it together they cannot do it alone they can’t and that’s so important that’s why they need eachother it’s why the group continues to refuse to leave eachother alone despite everything going on!!! Issac is all his mother has left, Lui’s grandmother is with his family, Norah can’t freaking walk!!! And still. They do this together.

The bunny has such layers of meaning. The Rabbit as a whole has such a double meaning. It struggles like Norah did, it freezes like her. The rabbit trusts Norah.

Norah Trusts her friends. Trusts Lui.

Lui being there is such an important piece of the scene. Lui who knows the danger. Lui who knows this is wrong. Lui who keeps trying to talk Norah out of it but is the one who set the trap in the first place. Lui who gently guides Norah’s hands. Lui who Norah Trusts. Lui who despite knowing this is all wrong even if nothing goes wrong. Lui who is scared and more horrifyingly: fascinated. What good would it do to not use the book. What knowledge he could use. What a trap he’s found himself within. A power he knows is wrong but a power he has to use. They’re desperate. He can justify this- or try to. He can heal Norah. Protect his friends!

But he does so within the trap he’s found himself in.
