Daily Affirmation 600.
You are strong. You are brave. You are wonderful. You can make it through the pain, and the loneliness, and there will be bright and beautiful days on the other side, because you are amazing, and your asexuality is amazing.

are you a doe eyed ace or an icy glare ace
chubdamtanaka:
âSex/Romance is what makes us human!â
Castiel (Supernatural) is asexual (but not sex-averse)
While Castiel has had sex on the show, he never seems to display any signs of sexual attraction until somebody else has already made a move on him. He made out with Meg, but only after she kissed him first. He later seemed willing to go further with her, but she had to initiate, and it took him a second to understand what she was getting at. The first (and only) time he had sex, it was after somebody else kissed him first, and we later saw him initiate activity for the first and only time on the show during the âpillow talkâ for that encounter â after already having had a pleasurable experience and wanting to continue it. Before losing his virginity, he was actually married for an extended period of time, and didnât consummate the relationship. At one point early in Casâs run, Dean tried to get him laid (by hiring a prostitute), but Cas looked absolutely terrified, and didnât seem to be looking forward to it at all. Heâs appeared in 87 episodes, and these are the only scenes in which his sexuality is even referenced (a grand total of 4 mentions). The only other scene I can think of that might imply some kind of sexual attraction in a non-already-sexual situation is his flustered reaction when Hannah takes her clothes off in front of him, and while that could be read as âturned on and trying to hide it,â to me it reads more as âprofoundly uncomfortable.â This all points to someone who is capable of sexual arousal and enjoys the feelings of having sex, but doesnât tend to get horny or feel sexual attraction out of context.

Iâm not sure if itâs just me, but I think something a lot of aros and aces donât get much assurance in is that itâs okay to feel romantic/sexual attraction.
Itâs 100% okay to not feel those (or any) attractions, and I will always stand behind that because thatâs exactly why aros and aces are treated horribly, but I think we should all remember that itâs not a bad thing to feel attraction.
Sexuality can be fluid. Your orientation always has the possibility of changing, and thatâs okay. Thatâs just as good as a solid, unchanging one.
Itâs also possible to feel attraction and be on the spectrums, so this especially goes for demis, greys, etc.
Remember that there is no such thing as a âtrueâ aro or ace. There is no checklist where you have to say yes to all the boxes to be a real aro/ace. There is no strict set of rules that you must follow to be aro/ace. You are not a fake or liar if you donât fit the textbook definition.
Donât be afraid to let yourself be attracted to others. Love who you are and embrace your feelings. Donât hold back because youâre scared that youâre not a ârealâ aro or ace. If you are aro/ace, then you are, and nobody can take that from you.
Raise your hand if you want books with more canon panro/ demiro/ aro / ace /demi / pan / grey love relationships and more canon demi / ace / pan / grey characters in general.
F*ck yes.
đ itâs okay to be a sex repulsed ace
đ itâs okay to be an ace who has sex
đ itâs okay to identify as asexual/aromantic and then realise you are demi or vice versa
đ all aces are equal
Proud To Be Me Project Update
Please send all submissions to [email protected]!
I will be accepting the submissions until July 18th.
Thank you!!
Proud To Be Me Project
Due to the gatekeeping in the LGBTQIA+ community I am making a video. In order for me to make this video, I will need the help of others in this community. (The video will be playing the song Battle Scars by Paradise Fears)
The video will consist of pictures and clips that are submitted by those in this community. In every clip or picture Iâd like for them to have you holding a sign with a phrase or something or your flag.
The videos can be silent or you can say a phrase or something. They canât be more than a few seconds though.
The pictures can be of you or you and your friends holding your flags or signs.Â
This project is for everyone in this community. For asexuals, aromantics, gays, lesbians, bisexuals, nonbinary, transgenders, etc. ANYONE.
The video will be posted on various social medias. Iâm planning on having this done before the end of the summer. I will make another post within the week with a due date and where to submit them to.
We canât find acceptance until we accept each other.

Being ace in a sexualised world ainât easy
being aro in a world obsessed with romantic relationships ainât easy
but you are awesome
your platonic relationships are just as beautiful as romantic ones
your sexless relationships are  just as beautiful as those who have sex every week
Donât let anyone tell you any different. You are valid, beautiful and not broken
I love people who are aromantic and asexual and agender youâre all so great and fantastic
In solidarity, I made some Pride crystals. I tried to cover some of the major ones Iâve seen. Youâre totally welcome to save the ones I made to your computer for your own personal use, or if youâd like to make your own with your preferred colors and your flag you can download the file from my Gumroad. Just enter a â0âł and you can download it for free and personalize it as much as you like- and feel free to reblog this with your own image + added modifications to anyone else who may want to use them: https://gumroad.com/l/XIuXf
Iâm proud to be Bisexual, though itâs only been a handful of years since I came into acceptance of that, and even more recent since Iâve become more open about it. Know that through all the hardship and hopelessness, you matter. You are not broken, you are valued, and you are wonderful.
I reblogged a post of helpful links and sources if you want to help or need support just below this one, and you can always send me an ask if you need. Keep fighting the good fight â¤
EDIT:: Someone informed me that the Intersex flag I made before is not the accepted flag, so I read up and made a new one ⤠I apologize for not doing extensive research and realizing this mistake sooner, I hope the new one is an improvement. I was going to take the first one I made down, but I also read that there are some members of the Intersex community who feel most comfortable using it. So for now, unless requested otherwise, Iâll leave it up.
@vergess
disabled asexual people are wonderful and valid and should not have to feel ashamed of our sexuality.
itâs not our fault that the stereotype that say âall disabled people are asexualâ exists and it is not our job to dismantle it or disprove it.
youâre allowed to be you and to be proud of who you are. people are not allowed to blame you or shame you for being yourself.
the blame should be put on those who created and perpetuate the stereotype. not on the people who happen to fit it.
REBLOG IF ITâS OKAY FOR YOUR FOLLOWERS WHO ARE STRUGGLING WITH THEIR GENDER IDENTITY/SEXUALITY TO MESSAGE YOU FOR ADVICE, SUPPORT OR HELP

Hahaha, I canât đ
Oregon judge granted the 52-year-oldâs petition to identify as neither male nor female, a historic decision that completes Shupeâs gender transition
Iâm literally sitting on my couch choked up and nearly in tears.
As a nonbinary person Iâve never felt like I had any options to legally be myself.  It got to the point where I didnât even want to bother with changing my name.  But if this is possible for me, if my ID and passport can one day say ânonbinaryâ instead of male or femaleâŚ
In the midst of all my fear and doubt and sadness, maybe thereâs still hope for me to be able to be myself.
