I need to rant about this for a second before I combust or something.
This is the first crisis that features Lena Luthor, they've swapped her in instead of Dreamer -who can S E E the future-, naturally everyone will think "Oh, so, she has a significant purpose to be brought in, right?" That's what it should be like at least.
But no. They brought Lena in the crisis just to show her that everyone really doesn't actually trust her and then to snap her away like some sort of cheap endgame ripoff.
The monitor chose Lex for a reason. I see that now. He was supposed to lead them to the Superman who's a paragon on time and then replace him(??). Ok, fiNe. I see how that makes sense.
But for them to simply choose some random guy as the paragon of humanity instead of Lena fucking Luthor who's been shown to only want to save humanity her entire stay in this show is just plain stupid.
Even if they'd like to use, oh I don't know, any other significant CW character that isn't a compete stranger to the audience???
There's also this deal Lex has with the Monitor, about Lena. There could have been hope for him to maybe bring her in. Have her serve a purpose in the crisis but the Monitor is fucking dead, so now what?
Is Lena somehow going to show up with the paragons? I doubt it since her name isn't written in that piece of paper that saved Lex instead of Clark.
It just bothers me that they brought her in for nothing, Ok? If this is their intention then they should've just left her out like they do every year instead of lugging her in and then making her efforts seem useless.
