on the subject of joyce byers pflag mom I think after the dust settles she starts driving up (up? where is hawkins?) to indianapolis for pflag meetings twice a month and then after they move to montauk she finds another chapter and drags hopper to it for the first time and he's like ummmm I'm jim I'm will's stepdad and uhhhh if he wants to be a homosexual then that's fine. I guess. and then it takes him like five more years to be normal about will being gay but it's okay because he gets there eventually. and joyce has obviously been there since day one so when will goes to college she calls him after every meeting to tell him all the drama. raymond whose son is a nothing now has invited her and hopper to a barbecue which is very nice of him. and carol and dennis turner are clearly still uncomfortable with their daughter being a lesbian (their other daughter is making them attend) but on the plus side carol brings some very nice lemon sherbet cookies to the meetings sometimes and dennis can now say the word "lesbian" without stuttering. in case will wanted to know

will byers who was the quiet kid for so much of his life that when he finally starts to find his voice, it comes out tactless and snarky and all wrong because he was holding in so much.
