Anyways please read the Light Novels they are amazing and watch the anime if it's still available in your region because there's no way this franchise should be left to disappear... Also buying the Spanish versions of the light novels when thy come out in Spain during July.

What is it about?

The premise is about a country called The Republic of San Magnolia who's been at war against the Legion, for a good seven years (or more), who are pretty much robots but make them evil. The Republic fights them off with their own machines, The Juggernauts- Who are automated machines and boast about how they are winning this war without any casualties.

Of course, we all know that isn't true- The Republic is lying to everyone as these machines are operated by real humans, called the Eighty-Six who were essentially expelled from the Republic at the start of the war and were made to fight against the Legions by the Alba, who refuse to fight because they are racist as hell and more that I cannot disclose as we would be entering spoiler territory.

We follow Lena, a young Republic Officer, who has become the youngest officer in the military as it currently stands, try to tell the truth about the war to the world. And so, the story goes on from then.

I would highly recommend you to watch the anime first as it is a masterpiece in it's own right and to read the novels afterwards because both are amazing and truly deliver a beautiful story about war, trauma, love and so many other things I can't possibly describe here. You'll laugh, you'll despair and cry over these people. It's amazing. It's my favorite anime of all time and it is vile that it got nuked from all legal viewing platforms.
