Complaints in relationship posts r often how women are "loved" for their kindness & what they do for the men, & not for whom the woman is or her dreams, hobbies, work, ambition. So it was sweet that Leia's plan to change the island was also something that made Shachi's love grow.

Idk it made me happy he had something concrete to say about Leia in his final moments and what made Leia Leia and the woman he loved instead of something vague like beauty or kindness (in fact she didn't treat him very well for a long time did she?).

He accepted she also is very prideful and even though very smart doesn't make the right decisions and doesn't apologize for it; and just like she didn't hesitate to sacrifice her loved ones for her ideals, Shachi was willing to die for what she was willing to die for.

I thought that was beautiful even if the couple itself is not as popular as Rei/Mamiya. And what makes Shachi/Leia work is how Leia has less of the empathy that Mamiya had and was less kind and soft, in fact Shachi is the emotional intelligence of the relationship.
