Just started to play Veilguard btw! Too early in the game to be especially fond of anyone but I really hoped they will allow us to romance Chuckles again *sigh* 🥲

“Out with it.” Her words sharp, her tongue sharper, and her golden gaze the sharpest of all three. Her eyes narrowed following the accusation, burning with a sense of determination and condemnation, not rag. Morrigan was right, and she knew it. She will not let this go.

From her hand, dangled her herb pouch. It was made of soft, brown leather. Aged, of course, but through careful use and years of repair, the satchel not only kept its shape, but also kept her medicinal herbs safe, and separate from the poisonous ones Morrigan had retained for weapon coatings and simple poisons themselves. The satchel itself was in good condition, but some herbs were missing. Given everything else was intact, her satchel had not suffered the rummaging of a beast, but likely a person. Though she’d consider them beastly for going through her things at all, let alone without permission.

A quick glance back at the remaining company of the camp; Alistair always kept his distance - it was about the only thing she appreciated of the man - and the lay sister was not welcome by her campfire, try as she might. The others kept close to the main camp, and even the Qunari did not venture to the Witch’s camp. That left two. Two with the gall and freedom to strut into her camp whenever they pleased. That would be Sky, and her canine.

Given that the Mabari had learned its lesson the last time, and that the Witch found no remnants of its slobber, her conclusion was drawn tightly to the commander, Sky.

“Throw around the ‘savage Dalish’ accusation if you must - your race and your occupation are not born of one another, theft is not cultural. If it was I would lend that title to the Chantry.” The witch dismisses, matching her tone with a roll of her eyes.

The herbs missing, were not poisonous, the fact that she was Dalish did lend to the fact Sky would have known what was what - a fact Morrigan had forgotten on her initial accusation. The missing herbs, were intact, just herbs. For food. Her food, to be specific. Morrigan had no intention of ever ingesting what amassed in that seemingly endless pot the others ate from. She was not inclined to share.

“Lest you forget, ‘Savage’ is a title I have long since worn also.” And one even the Dalish knew, given the reach of legends, it seemed the ‘Witches of the Wilds’ tales’ found its way to all but Orzammar. She was not surprised, given her mother.
