Dragon Age
The Warden:
Mahariel was a proud Dalish hunter forced into the Grey Wardens after being corrupted by an ancient elven mirror. Though initially distrustful of outsiders, he became a compassionate leader who saved Redcliffe, preserved the Circle, brokered peace between Zathrian’s clan and the werewolves, destroyed the Anvil of the Void, and united Ferelden against the Fifth Blight. He earned the lasting loyalty of every companion, restored Alistair’s confidence before placing him upon the throne, and fell in love with Morrigan, completing her ritual and fathering Kieran before slaying the Archdemon himself.
As Warden-Commander, Mahariel rebuilt the Fereldan Wardens and protected both Vigil’s Keep and Amaranthine. He eventually followed Morrigan through the eluvian, remaining devoted to her and their son. By the time of the Inquisition, he had ventured beyond Thedas in search of a cure for the Calling. His fate remains unwritten during the rise of the Veilguard, though some believe the Hero of Ferelden returned south when the Blight threatened his homeland once again.
