it is made from aluminum alloy, which sacrifices durability to keep it lightweight (much needed when you’re at the ren faire for 12 hours). i’ve worn this to 5 or so events since completing it in 2022 and made zero repairs.

in total, it took about 10,000 rings

this took me four years to make, but it was very on and off again work. if i did this again, it would probably take me about six months. i want to do it again. i want a gold one.

the weave is called european 4-in-1, which was very easy to learn. i taught myself in an afternoon. it is frustrating for the first hour. after that, you can do it forever without a second thought.
