It isn’t selfish or egotistical to recognize that you’ve outgrown people or places. Sometimes it can be confrontational for people to see how well you’re doing or how confident you are, and sometimes it might urge them to try and drag you back down, but how they feel about themselves when they see you thriving is not your responsibility. Don’t make yourself smaller to fit in or make others feel more comfortable; find places and people that fit you the way you are and the way you feel best about yourself.

You don’t attract what you want, you attract what you are. Anything you’re chasing is out of alignment for you. You’re forcing something that doesn’t work and that’s how you end up hurting your own feelings. Stop chasing and start attracting. Don’t like what you’re attracting? Work on getting better. Settling for less, is also chasing and forcing. Overlooking red flags and things you’ve outgrown because you’re ignoring the things you need to work on. Life doesn’t respond to who you pretend to be, it responds to who you are. Give yourself all the things you admire in others. You are the architect of your life.
