struggling with self care? here's a few things you can do to include your f/o in your day to day life to maybe help you out :)

— make your f/o breakfast! or lunch, or dinner, or a snack, or a cup of tea, whatever they like!

— your f/o really loves the smell of the body wash you use! take a shower tonight with it so they can smell it while they're cuddling you asleep. same goes for your shampoo!

— your f/o has an outfit they wanna wear tomorrow, but its not clean. may as well do your laundry too while you're at it!

— your f/o had a movie they wanted to watch with you. take a moment to relax with them tonight.

— your f/o wants to have a nice cozy night with you tonight. why not make your bed so you have a nice place to snuggle with them?

— having trouble cleaning your room? that's okay, your f/o is gonna help you do it! try to get it started for them.

note; these are just a handful of things that help me. I dunno if they'll help you but you can try, if you'd like :3

— take a break from social media tonight and talk to your f/o! maybe draw or write them something, and if you aren't feeling that, just take some time to appreciate life with them.

In the spirit of disability pride month, your f/o is there through the mundane.

Appointments. Double checking you've taken your meds. Making sure you're safe and comfortable as possible during a flare up, either keeping a respectful distance or holding you close if that's what you need.

Your f/o is the one to pick you up from therapy and lift up your spirits. Or maybe they're the nonchalant type that secretly carries sweets or painkillers or whatever else helps out your particular disability.

They're there up with you when pain keeps you awake, conversing to ease your mind. You won't even remember when exactly did you fall asleep as their presence made time blur.

If your particular disability is invisible, the f/o will double down on supporting you. Advocating for accommodations if you struggle, scanning rooms to find places to rest, reassuring you when you have to go home early.

The thing is. You're a part of their life now, and by extend this also includes your struggles. This isn't some huge thing in their mind, but rather just something to ease the weight off your shoulders, even by a little bit. Is it always easy? No, however that's what makes it special. They're putting in efforts to their love and it shows.
