It's hard to face the reality

it's awful how much alcohol and caffeine are glorified under capitalism as a solution to stress and exhaustion from work. overwork isn't even necessary today and literally kills people (there is even a word for this in japan, karoshi). the reason suffering from overwork happens is not out of necessity, it's due to companies maximizing profit. we promote an unhealthy lifestyle...for what, exactly? making the world a better place? no.

This is actually because it activates your vagus nerve! Basically your body goes “we are so upset! We must be injured! Where???? On the inside guts! Those are confusing and hard to differentiate!!! Confusing guts are hurt!”
