Trying very hard to believe in myself! So few things seem to help, but I feel lucky and grateful that I am still enjoying the art I make and that I'm starting to feel more easily motivated to work on art and schoolwork!

New term is beginning at school.

Already tired, but also excited to feel like I have a bit of a fresh start.

I'm really excited for my Relief and Monoprint class, but scared for my research methods.

This is a portrait of my grandma at 17 years old, pregnant with my mom, on her first wedding day. At the time I painted this, it was nearing the 2-year anniversary of her passing.

How do we build an identity? What does it mean to find comfort in the construction of a new face?

In response to Sherman's Untitled Film Stills, this work explores gender as performance and ritual, specifically questioning this in terms of womanhood and femininity. What does it mean to be a woman? What are the rituals and actions we do everyday that demonstrate or oppose our identities?
