I was born in a world,

where they kill you slowly,

To live, to love,

is what they don't know.

Maybe it was forgotten,

the kindness they have to show,

because the monsters took charge,

and somehow the others followed.

I was born in a town,

where they teach to preach love,

a town, where saints

are all introverts.

A town where the gods,

are carved of stone.

A place where egos,

get to sit on the throne.

I was born in a home,

where I was cared for and cherished.

With so much softness,

but it all had to perish?

But I have lost my home

somewhere in the midst,

and what else can I do

but search everywhere for it.

In people and their promises,

and in empty spaces.

Into the darkness of this night and

in between my diary's last pages.
